2 pistons were jammed solid. Using the socket wrench got them turning and freed up.
2 of these pistons were stuck solid, but using this method I managed to free them.

Glad I came across your channel. As a fellow FC RX7 owner. I share the same situation with you on two occasions. I’ve owned over 5 RX7s. The hot start issue/flooding issues is related to cooling or compression issues. In your case I do presume the compression is not an issue. But your cooling system. The cause of cooling system failures and hot starts can have many issues in our FC rotary platforms. But most likely it’s due to the failure of your coolant seal/s with your coolant wall compromised. The coolant grooves are on the irons. This is the most likely scenario. And in your situation very likely what’s going on. The only solution to this is to take out keg, open, inspect, repair and put together again with brand new seals etc. I repeat do not continue to operate it. Or run it. Just empty the coolant system and start taking apart. Because coolant left in the keg can start to rust things out. Making the parts useless. Why did this happen or why does it happen? A majority of the times it’s due to failure of maintaining the coolant system in a rotary engine. Letting the coolant sit in a rotary engine for long periods of time is the worst thing you can do. It starts to compromise the metals of the irons, passages etc. causing collapse of the areas. Anyways any questions ask away. And to a speedy successful rebuild. Also if your turbo is smoking in an S5 it’s time for a rebuild as well.
