Our foreign policy perspective on Iran is WRONG. We should focus on the Human Rights issues FIRST, when the Human Rights issues are addressed, there will be NO Islamic Republic. We should side with the people of Iran not the current thugs that run the country (Clergies+IRGC+Bassij militias). Once we have normal people with normal politics (a secular state) in charge of Iran, them we can address the nuclear and regional issues. We should destroy the engine that is causing all these issues (rootcause issue is: theocracy, not the nuclear issues or the regional issues). People of Iran are as much pro USA and West as Israelis are. Once we side with the people of Iran, they will help us to remove Iran from siding with and aiding China and Russia. If we only address the nuclear issues or the Iran regional activity issues of Iran, the Mullahs (clergy) will never give up the China and Russian camp as their protectors.
