Great stuff. Might show this to my students next semester
that is the biggest compliment i could have ever received for this video - thank you so much!!
This video was extremely interesting, thank you so much for your work !! Thank you for making us remember that our world is more than this live-to-work mentality :)
Great video! This made me want to read more T.S. Eliot's poems. Some of the points you made in this video reminds me of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, it would be great if you can make a video on that:)
so funny you say that... currently working on Huxleyan dystopias! will reply back to your comment when i'm done 😁
Been working extremely hard lately. Been missing out a lot on my wife and child. Speaking to the Lord inwardly, and teaching my wife and daughter to do the same is one of the ways we keep linked up no matter the distance. Recently, we've planned on any days off we have together to take ourselves out to do something. We've gotta start making a meaning in this terrifying mortal world ocean
working hard for your family is a very admirable thing, but it comes with sacrifices... a huge struggle in life is just finding a balance that makes you happy, and i hope that you can find that balance within your life
@@chwelik I realized the struggle bit a decade or two ago and lived through it. Now that it's integrated into my life, it's time to let the love, achievement, and companionship of and for my family be realized. It will. God will help us.
I keep trying to make friends, but am often shunned and it leaves me worrying that I'd be betrayed... And often am. My openness has led to me being robbed, taken advantage of, and even attacked on two occasions. All by those friends made and those closest to me. Industrial Society was a mistake, at least in going as far as it has.
something that no one should experience, i'm sorry that you went through that
Good take on the wolf scene. Nice vid.
Great analysis!! thank you for uploading
The idea that some people think the world doesnt need art is crazy to me. thats simply a world without inspiration.
many things would be so different if it weren't for art - and i think it brings a certain joy, even if it's small!
I felt like the grand-uncle was a tragic character. Very knoledgable, and with a good heart, but ultimately incapable to create a perfect world, because such a world just cannot be created. (I mean even our own world is flawed, and I wonder if you can have light without shadow) In the end he still clings to his believe that pure goodness still exists, and he has traveled trough time and space to find 13 "good" stones. He does not believe that he can use them to create a good world, but maybe someone new, in the form of a descendent can. Grand-Uncle also reminded be of Nietzsche in his design/introduction. Idk if this is relevant, but maybe there was some inspiration to Nietzsches desperate, and uktimately fruitless search for meaning in the world, leading to his insanity. Finally I like how the parakeets represent humanity. As flawed and naive as the towermaster is, these parakeets are even more flawed. They cling to laws without knowing why and can only think about their base desire for food. In a way it was better for them to go back to normalcy at the end. Thanks for the video this really made me think about the film and I like your ideas! Very creative.

loved reading this so much! it's such a detailed film with some really heavy topics, and i think you're right about it being so closely related to Nietzsche and his ideologies... it's truly amazing how much one film can make you ponder in this way... i think we're more like the parakeets than we care to admit sometimes.
@kikis-lounge-room Yeah honestly this is one of my favourite films ever just because it is the closest to what "art" means to me in its essence. Its beautifull animation and music molded into such an interesting plot with so kany possible interpretations and meaning. The abbility to interpret art, and reflect on its meaning and what this means for you is so amazing. Really one of the best films ever.
@@mikehulsman4735 not many Ghibli fans liked this one, but my whole heart just clung to it! i truly find that it's just so beautiful and the ambiguity gives so much purpose to the audience in a weird way...
@@chwelik yeah im not really even a Ghibli fan. In fact I knew little about it before this movie. I watched it with little expectations but yeah its great.
The font on the thumbnail is very appetite for destruction.
😈 just as i planned
this movie turned me into a furry great video btw. had my attention the whole time
i am stunned, shocked and thrilled all at once...
that is soooo unsettling lol
0:13 don't you mean the deer hole? ....I shouldn't comment on things.
missed opportunity on my part... i'm ashamed 😞
This movie is one of my most watched movie of all time btw what a convenient voice , love that

you're too sweet!!!
This was amazing!
Looking forward to more vids by you
thank you so much!
Great movie and vid keep it up !
I think this is such wonderful video!!! You summed up everything so well! Are you going to school for film studies? Also what’s your opinion on Coraline as a text? Lots of questions but I so rarely get to discuss with film UA-camrs I thought I’d take the chance !
i predominantly studied literature and i suppose film falls under that category at times, but i think a lot of it is just pure passion for texts tbh. i loveeeee Coraline but i feel like a lot of love and attention has already been given to it, i also don't want to reinvent the wheel when someone else has done a perfect job themself! i really appreciate your kind words, they mean a lot!!!
Love this
i was so nervous posting this one 😅 so happy you loved it!!
@kikis-lounge-room I'm such a big fan of chappell, and I agree with everything in the video
@@chwelik and I do believe chappell is trying to cope with losing the loss of privacy and her normal life since she became famous overnight.
100% !!! it's such a dramatic adjustment too...
@@chwelik yess
The thing you said at the end really hit and brought all of your points together well. Also love the shots from the film that you used.
thank you so much! i really appreciate it 😌🙏
very nice 👍
I love this fuckin movie
the vibes of the film are unmatched
Very well summed up. Keep making these!
will do 🫡
@@chwelikLady Himi from the boy the boy and the heron reminded me a lot of of Haku/Kohaku from spirted away. I Just thought the Parallels were similar.
this was fr so insightful !

didnt know i needed a pyscho analysis of fantastic mr fox... but i in fact did :)
i'm so happy you liked it! i am BEAMING!
Needs more attention fr
such an underrated movie fr
Not that underrated
This was a great video know that you have pointed it out, Freudian theory actually fits really closely with this film.
thank you so much! i really loved making it and plan on doing a lot more!
Amazing imagination, keep up the work, we need indie devs like you who get inspired with actual content.
Sorry folks! I am TEAM Arthur and Sophie to bad, they couldn’t be a real couple in 1 and 2. I am not a fan of Harley Quinn.
Harley definitely felt like the antagonist of the recent film... A lot of scenes were also cut out of the film for her - so maybe a lot of her character establishment got cut out?
loved this, the little edits are so cute and funny and i love ur takes. i could also look at u all day 🥺.
you're too kind!! i'm so happy that you enjoyed it, i have so much more that i want to put into the world! 🫶💕✨
And as always: SOLD OUT :)
TLDP are picking up so fast with their fame, and it's no surprise at all why that's the case
I went there! Not for this hig tho😢
who did you go see at Hordern Pavilion?
Hello Kiki, thanks so much for posting this. Would love to see any other songs that you recorded. I hear it was an epic gig.
definitely epic! hopefully you can see them next time! unfortunately that's all i have because i wanted to live in the moment a bit more 😭
Quite right something like that you want to give it to your full attention.
A life changing gig ❤️ being front row to the left was absolutely sublime. Especially since it was Georgias home town show. Lots of tears shed by us and the band!
Love seeing Emily going stage left
i agree! i loved seeing her in the spotlight, she's truly so talented!!
