Both bells have an electric striker mounted on the bay side just out of view. You can barely see the striker head on the upper bell, the lower bell has a striker mounted in the same configuration.

@@DingDongitsthebellguy i was a bell technician when I was younger. They use to pay me in earplugs. I retired early (i was fired) around age 21. Now I live happily in Flint Michigan and my son pays my rent

The Westminster notes are: D, G, A, B, and the strike is approximately 2.5 tons, with a note that is very slightly flat of C

Restored copper clock from the OB McClintock Company. They were a popular manufacturer of this style of building clock in the early 20th century.

@@GTBock_Official I have seen many instances of inhabited birds nests inside of stationary carillon/chime bells. Bird exclusion is a constant battle in the bell tower - they always want inside but their presence leads to unsafe/unhealthy conditions and damages clock and bell ringing equipment.

​@@DingDongitsthebellguy I found the bells on the dove guide Water town, a peal of 8 cast by Whitechapel in 1912 in the key of E The tenor weighs 22 cwt 1 quarter and 15 lbs. Would love to see them harmonically tuned. Whitechapel didn't start harmonic Tuning until 1923 Taylor really pioneered it in 1896

Sounds nothing like a speaker. There is peal of 8 change ringing bells here. For some reason they are not rung anymore. They have installed two solenoid operated hammers to hit the outside of the bell.

@@edwardolsen3925 the ring had been abandoned several decades ago and customer does not currently have interest in restoring. The way these strikers are mounted is noninvasive and in theory the bell could be swung but will not be. If that changes in the future the striker can be removed and the ring is in unchanged original condition.

​@@DingDongitsthebellguy Where about is this ring. I wonder why it's abandoned,was it lack of change ringers. Apart from disconnecting the power the bells would be hard to ring as a change ringing bells due to the extra weight on one side of the bell. Normally on change ringing bells the hammer is mounted on the frame on the stay side of the bell. These can then be chimed using an ellecombe chiming apparatus or some form of solenoid operation. I can look up the bells on the dove guide that lists, founder, weights etc and when cast.
