Just the core series for now, unfortunately (I will make a sequel for Icehome once I’ve read them all 👀👀) I love Ice Planet Barbarians-it holds a special place in my heart! It was my very first Sci-fi romance series, and introduced me to the wide world of Kindle Unlimited. Obviously, the series has its problem...

Clicked on the video because of the thumbnail (which was brilliant and hilarious btw)
Thanks!!!! I kind of just do whatever with my thumbnails ‘cause it’s not like it matters that much lmaoooo
@@skeksyl lollll it worked perfectly on me
Minakami told Tamamori that his stories were shit so that Tamamori would hate him and stop saving him from suicide and traveling back in time (Minakami knew from the beginning that Tamamori could travel back in time because Minakami was possessed by the spirit of Hashihime as a child, so he could see that Tamamori's eyes had turned blue. This was the reason why he bought Tamamori shoes, because he knew that Tamamori would avoid puddles to keep them clean) Minakami knew that if Tamamori saved him, misfortune would befall him because of Hashihime's curse. So this was his way of keeping Tamamori from getting hurt, even if he still hurt him with his words. For the entire novel, Tamamori was afraid that what Minakami said about his stories was true, because since he was a child, Tamamori had been writing only for Minakami and his praise was the most important thing. In the end, they resolved the issue and Minakami said that he really thought Tamamori's stories were wonderful. And yes, I too think Minakami's route is canon, considering that the rest of the routes reveal Tamamori's love for Minakami as well. And no, secret ending is not a true ending (thank god)
Okay teaaa that makes so much sense thank you. I think I just couldn’t put those pieces together in my head. I do wonder though, Madame says previous users of the Hashihime feel the changes between loops (or something like that) so would Minakami then know that Tamamori had gone back over and over for that reason? Because he doesn’t seem to do anything about it 😭😭
@@skeksyl Yw! :) Madame said that those who were cursed before could see the color change and thats it. Minakami always knew that Hashihime is inside of Tama and tried to prevent him from finding out that he can jump through puddles, but Minakami only knew that Tamamori was going back over and over when Tama himself told him (that happened in a few loops and Mina always pretended he didn't believe what Tama said). It's actually quite amazing how many interesting things you can notice when replaying the first route. I could talk about Hashihime and the Minakami Route in particular for hours because I just love how much is going on there lmao
@@ЮлияСержантова-ч8оohhh ok sick. I think I should probably replay because I feel like a lot of this stuff would make more sense on a second playthrough 🤔🤔 thank you so much for elucidating me!!
This is one of those games I really like, but could never recommend to others solely because I don't really enjoy many of the later routes lol. Minakami's route though? 10/10 would replay.
it’s so hard ‘cause I love the concept and the world but like I don’t want to put anyone else thru the suffering that is Hanazawas route 😭😭 the problem is then that the price is sooo unjustified to only play thru Minakamis route.
Great vid!
Our nails weren’t made to scalp the coffin’s lid, and scratch the tally marks of wasted years. From pale to grey the albatross’s wings, whose flapping rallies wind into our hair. Too often we are buried by mistake; a human hired in a dead-end job. We ought instead to flare inside the waves, and charge the crowd of seagulls taking off. Our suits and blazers matted down at sea, our nails were meant to feel the fabric soaked as albatrosses cheer for you and me, as we destroy the capitalist’s crossbows. And then with hair in tangled wettened locks, we’ll dig at more than just our coffin tops.
You make such a good point!! What I hate is when a new author writes a really good book and then they’re pushed to pump out another book really quickly, and then the book isn’t as good as it could’ve been, and then it just ruins things for the readers, and I think readers would rather read a book that was better quality than one that’s just pumped out so quickly that it’s losing the flavor that everybody was expecting and wanting from it… if that makes sense? Really great video, appreciate your content!
Thanks!!! I really wish all authors were given the grace and ability to release books at their own discretion, instead of having a set deadline set by a company that only wants profit… the hype around these huge books that causes them to be rushed in the first place is often also what causes dissatisfaction in the final product 😞😞
The set up for a main protagonist of a Wes Anderson film.
I would say yes the amount of shitty books I’ve seen in the library’s now adays is just modern ramble with no real rich information.
I don’t know, I think even if there are lots of bad books, there are still a lot of good ones being released, too! I think many people are reading more for pleasure than personal enrichment than they were in the past, which might mean books contain less “rich information” but it doesn’t make them any less valuable!
Ohhh! When my friends and I read Hunger Games, we all thought we wanted more books like Hunger Games, but what we actually wanted was to repeat our experience of reading the Hunger Games *for the first time.* So we were never satisfied with the other books in that genre. I think Publishers are probably just giving people what they ask for ("more books in X genre!"), but we don't want the watered down version. We want something familiar, yes, but also original, unique, a book with its own identity, to leave a distinct impression on us
Yesss!! My sister actually read The Hunger Games for the first time last year and went through the same thing where she thought she loved dystopians but she actually just loved The Hunger Games. It’s especially pertinent bcos after The Hunger Games a lot of authors released similar dystopian type plots ‘cause they thought the idea was cool, but ended up missing the whole point of what makes a dystopian a dystopian…
A lot of people assume that a successful book or series is automatically an example of good writing when this usually isn't the case. Objectively, the quality of the prose in Twilight is pretty awful and yet that series made millions and a widely successful movie franchise on top of it. I think the bigger divergence we are seeing is the publishing industry's lack of loyalty towards good, meaningful writing. Books that are regarded as literary classics are usually so dense that most modern readers can't be bothered to pick them up. Also, what is good writing? Is it writing that leaves the reader wanting more and fully immersing themselves into the story? Or is it supposed to be an allegorical commentary on the current political sphere to be considered worthwhile? I fully acknowledge that ACOTAR is ridiculous fairie smut but at the end of the day it is a world I fell in love with and I often return to for a hit of nostalgia.
Such a great video, i rly enjoyed it
I think people don’t see what makes these huge books popular in the first place, usually they are different from what is there! It doesn’t work when you publish the same thing over and over again
Yup! And then the books that try to copy popular books usually miss the charm that made those books big in the first place!!!
Everything in the world is happening too fast. Especially bad things.
I'm from germany, you honestly just sound a lil british and I can't hear a german accent for the most part, however that being said I think one does not need to get rid of their accent bc it's rather unique and I like guessing if english speaking people are from germany and I usually pick that up from context clues so have a good day!
🥲🥲 yeah it's definitely a work in progress. I just like doing accents 'cause its fun haha
I definitely think is can be compared to fashion industry. There used to be a set number of release dates/shows for fashion and everyone looked forward to them, but now they are released throughout the year, so more is being done because the demand is there but the feeling of it being as special is diminishing. The anticipation of waiting for the next book to release is gone in favor of almost instant gratification quick publishing, but it’s at the cost of quality on both ends you know?
I agree, it feels like some publishing houses really value quantity over quality… but I think that after the romantasy hype train dies down, publishers will slow down a bit (at least until the new genre trend arrives).
The cat jumping LOL. What a curious little mischiefing fur ball! Regarding Chain-Gang All Stars not fitting the vibe: you could maybe take off the dust jacket of the book, and if it has dark cover underneath it'll fit? But if it's yellow or whatever, then sorry haha. Overall, a very nice reorganisation, love it. Personally, there's more stacked book then I like, but it's your bookshelf, your rules. Nicely done!
Thanks!! Ik stacked books aren’t for everyone but it helps me save just a little bit of space, which I desperately need because I cannot stop buying books!! 😅😅 +I would take the dust jacket off Chain-Gang All-Stars but then I would definitely lose it, unfortunately 😭😭💀
