Yeah- I do wish I had been able to get the other two to watch your video. By large I agree with your video, and do think a “bad ending” would be fine and simple enough to do, after all many other open world games do it too. I apologize if I misrepresented the story as the fatal flaw, I wanted to try to tackle a topic with the other two that they could weigh in on some considering Tiny hasn’t finished the game, which now I think about it could be seen as a strike against the game. Thanks for coming here and putting it straight! I hope they go watch your video.

I’m going to try to reiterate my point about the memories. TOTK has a clear 1>2>3 etc order for them. You can easily put them on a timeline. I don’t feel that seeing them out of this order, and viewing a character death earlier than that order would show, is as bad as you say in the video. I tried to say in the episode, that the mystery extends both ways. You’ll ask “who is this” and want answers as much as “what happened next”. Now- the content of memories is a different topic, but I don’t find as much issue with the order of them. There’s also things pushing you away from finding the memory you found, since Nintendo does push you to that region first. IIRC there’s a Gleeok near there. I do appreciate you coming here and reiterating your points. We record live on Twitch, so a lot of things I wish I said I didn’t think about until I was in the shower the next morning.

@@RedNovaTree that’s very real haha, and i understand that perspective. i just think that’s making excuses for the game and looking on the bright side, i don’t think it’s good storytelling in and of itself if that distinction makes sense

@@skittybittyI think the real issue is that they don’t do anything interesting with out of order memories and try to make “Where Zelda?” some huge mystery when completing any dungeon proves it just isn’t. Then you do the same thing (from a narrative perspective) three more times.
