Feel so sad about some filipinos doing scam things especially drivers. I myself being local experienced a lot of bad things from taxi drivers, tuktuk drivers, trisekol drivers etc. Not even in the Philippines, also had experienced in Singapore and India. Scammers are every where.

For a first introduction into filipino food for a foreigner, I think "manam" is a good start. It has very good filipino food. You can find it at the most spots you would go, like the Mall of Asia or BGC for example. For other cities, for example for trying original Lechon in Cebu, "House of Lechon" is a good place.

You didn't try the Canyoneering? How sad. It's one of the greatest things you can experience only in Cebu.
