Old VHS content that isn't (at time I added) on UA-cam. Music, interviews and comedy from 1979 into the 1980's. A lot of the music I have from old TOTP, OGWT and kids shows are already on other channels, so these presented are the ones that are missing. Some classics, some not, not all necessarily the best, but worth archiving.

He always puts a smile on my face. God bless you John Lennon !
Too bad the quality is unwatchable.
a lot of people said rock 'n' roll was boring, outdated, and dead, except for John Lennon @6:34 ...
Ah John Gorman at the end too😊
Loved Steve , still dislike Wilcox -Fripp .
Fantastic! Thanks for posting this. I have never seen John so relaxed and normal.
Could be wrong but I seem to remember The Selecter and The Pretenders playing live on a couple of episodes.
Can't believe this was 45 years ago. Where's it all gone and why so quickly? A pair of very interesting, articulate, and innovative people.

“I’d like to write,….a compassionate horror movie.” Vivian was one of a kind.
F reddie a gift 🎯,gave that gift of a very happy memory to Muhammed as a keepsake. Beautiful 😂
Club Xcellent CH4 😊
Remember staying up late, watching this when it was originally broadcast. Love the story that Bob Harris tells elsewhere that, when they were planning the interview, John was struggling with how he could be 'paid' (given appalling BBC budgets), because the BBC insisted he had to be paid, so in the end they agreed he would be paid with a couple of packets of Chocolate Hobnobs! As Bob tells it, there is a receipt somewhere at the BBC with John's signature on it, confirming he received his payment of Hobnobs.
...A time and a place.....I enjoyed the interview....Steve Strange on top of the world there....
cut out the best part!!
Loved Uncle Albert
Fair play, this was a rubbish act. I used to love it, though.
It's a shame that John grew so naive about the American culture of gun violence. He seemed a bit more on the ball n 1966 when Americans were persecuting him on the 'more popular than Jesus' statement. Not sure what the big attraction was. Especially in the mid 70's when New York was a kind of shit hole on the verge of bankruptcy.
Disturbing and brilliant
Beautiful jermaine Jackson ❤️
Wunderbar🌀👍👏
Meta Mick ???? Is that like Post Paul ?
What a cast.
Jools hasn’t aged or changed a bit
Oh just wow look at this! 1980 and this captured what was just about to really REALLY kick off for the New Roamntics, Futurists... Peacock Punks. What an exciting time. I was just 12-13 when this aired, but was planning my big wedge haircut haha. We had a great shop in town called Genetix so us young teens could get some Blitz-inspired clothes from there if our parents gave us some money or we got on our BMXs and did a paper round! I honestly don't think things can ever be this exciting again. Those few years in the early 80s were wonderful. 1000s of great records came out too.
10:39 "Then you will be scared shitless by "That's Armageddon"". From "Kentucky Fried Movie"
Brilliant song by a brilliant band...
Born a genius…end of.
i remember this in the 80's like yesterday
I believe that I was in the audience for this show. I was 16 and we were invited from my school and went down by coach to attend what we were told was a show "like top of the pops". I was looking forward to seeing some famous groups, but was so disappointed when the lead act was U2, a band I'd never heard of back then playing a song I didn't know either. It wasn't until much later that I realised how naive I'd been once I found out who U2 were. I was in the second row from the front a little right of centre but I can't see myself in the footage. I had just come back from spending the entire 1980 school holidays at the camping site at Ault-Onival in France so October 1980 sounds about right. I was completely bemused by the bass player who looked exactly a friend I had met there called Gilbert Langlois. I just stood still gawping, thinking "it can't be"!
Timeless

Nunca es tarde para encontrar una gran voz.
Tarrant probably regrets doing that now
Chris said he met Jimmy a few times. And said wasn't a nice person
Peter Cook & Co special was 1980.
Meow Mix Is Scary Around The Dark!!
Those cutaway shots to the audience were not part of the original tape. Someone, maybe the poster, added them in.
@@pnull I didn't add them in, didn't have sophisticated equipment. Hence other bad quality posts.
What a great lady, r.i.p
I'm not a big Lenny Henry fan but my god he had me in stitches with his David Bellamy sketches in Great stuff
Some one must be able to get this series from somewhere let me know
I love this Lady. I wish I had been older in those days as I would love to have met her. She is a top bird! ❤❤
Near the end with the 'We'll Meet Again" fun singing followed by his smile always gets me; especially terrible that he would never get to the end of the song. The studio take where you can hear his remarks btw verses which got the musicians nearly laughing at one point revealed his sense of fun and enjoyment.
In my humble opinion John is one of the best singers in the world and has a mind of a steel trap
What love for the music industry in this man is to be admired
South East London👍Bandit Country...🦁🦁🦁🦁
I miss Genesis and Sleazy. They were true pioneers - rightly or wrongly. There is nothing like this in the present music and media climate.
Love Throbbing Gristle, Coil, Psychic TV, etc.. but Genesis is SO pretentious, lmao.. I can't stop cringing listening to her so desperately trying to come across as forward thinking and intelligent. She acts as if the words she's speaking are significantly profound in some way but it's just word salad. Listen to Peter talk about it like a real person, straightforward without any pretention. Peter comes across as both significantly more likeable and more engaged artistically IMO.
I thought the adverts were part of the show.
Is the best quality for an legend
