What about 13?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey, I wanted to say thank you for uploading this valuable source of information and history. I was also hoping to reach out to you because I did some sound tweaking and added subtitles for my own viewing and I was wondering if you would like to re-upload the videos. I can send the to you if you are still active on this platform
Comment #2 in 7 years. Unbelievable.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome!
very cleanly executed and excellent
@jebishop I’m not sure if you’re still active, but in the Phoenix area, who would you personally recommend to learn Kajukenbo?
Love it! Nice to see other Kajukenbo techniques.
Great times, I will never forget...Thanks for sharing. We were training that afternoon.
No good against fast boxing combos....EEEE YAA!
Those then had the luck of being something new and cool. They were seen as masters. Thankfully the cage and Mats became prominent and disproved all this bs that they all taught as real fighting. None of these guys or Parker or chow could really fight if put into a cage. Thank goodness all this bs has been exposed.
Most people have no idea how exhausting it is to go 2 on 1. Good job!
This is a cool video. My wife, daughter, and myself all train here on the big Island. TRK
No. Kaju is a tma not modern. Mma is modern. And has disproved all the tma bs.
Chuck Liddell is a UFC competitor and Kajukenbo practitioner. So no Kajukenbo is an MMA that has proven itself in the ring.
I feel good knowing I still remember this. And I can practice. I thank you so much for the video.. for those of us felt lost..
Hey Joe Turango, That’s a great punch counter 😁🤙
🤙 🤙
thank you i had a hard time learning this
Ouch
I LOVE this--- too bad I found it so late.... I'm 66 and have been mashed between 2 trucks back in 99 when I was a bodyguard... could have USED this back then. Is it too late for me to learn? I'm training my body now with Gymnastics method- to protect the joints etc.. but am getting stronger. I've also had a retina re- attached and will have 2 more surgeries to go.. There are NO schools anywhere within several states of me... so I'd have to figure an alternate training method..
Fantastic I love it very interested
He was a great guy I met him in 1999 in San Diego before he moved to Prescott Arizona to start his dojo there . Then much later I noticed in 2016 my Kung fu teacher had a certificate advancement from Abad on his wall from the 70’s or 80’s in guessing not sure what era He was a student from Alan’s . I was not a student of ALans when I knew him but he had some nice stories.
Great history and great stuff!!!!!!
probably not gonna get attacked by a sword mean while over here in the uk there left right and centre chasing you about
Like boxing clubs all Kajukenbo schools are different. Not all are equal. Facts of life. Many see a video and say junk that in Kajukenbo they only punch air and no bags or people. Not all schools are same. I trained under Clarence Luna Emperado in 90's and promoted to 10th by GM Joe Silva last year but studied many different styles since 80's. Nice video!
Thank you.
بليز انا كندير لصال وعندي آمتحان ولا نجحت غدي نخد جزام ازرق بغيت pinan3
How homie aint got no splinters
Well done!
Nice. Iam from india
I love being able to see a video of my Dad anytime! Thank you for posting it. I remember the powerful demonstrations he used to love to do.
Were some aspects of the video a test?
How could a shorter person succeed against a taller opponent in sparring, tournament, or street self defense fight
I mentioned that you do not have to be hit to earn a black belt at most schools. That said, I would recommend learning Kajukenbo for self defense. Having studied and taught American Kenpo for fifty years, Kajukenbo is an excellent art to learn for self-defense, and to help keep you in shape! Siifu
I teach AKJ-American Kenpo. The school above is what I call a "hard core" school. If you don't mind getting hit all the time, then it's for you. You don't have to get hit hard to earn a black belt at most schools. I know for a fact, that if you were attacked, your training would take over and you will not feel the strikes, so don't be afraid to take lessons; find the instructor that fits your needs. There is an instructor for every student Sifu
Looks a lot like American Kenpo short form 1 (also the first form taught). Awesome demonstration
I just learned that one it's a fun one
The bouncing mullet and constant fist to the hand is killing me!!
That's his son Alan Reyes at the 2:25 mark and at the end drinking a soda.
His son Alan Reyes is the one in black gi, black belt. He was a teenager then
Share some techniques, keep back others? "No, We Hawaiians over here. Mahalo. We share it." Love the brotherhood over ego.
Vince and David used just show up at the house with emperado and practice with pops and me loved every min of it emprado live with Vince for awhile
Wow I just came across this my father was a good friend with Vince black I trained with Vince in San Diego on 30th and upas I actually met prof emprado I was a teenager this house is San Diego north park area I also met prof sister dichi i believe a highlight on my teenage yrs I was able to work out with them a wealth of info hanging out there a way of life there martial arts
You say kajukenbo does not step in and punch but I just watched a very talented kajukenbo black belt test where the kid was performing his techniques against a step through right punch like you described kajukenbo does not do?
I've learned everything about Kajukenbo I learn how to pray I learn to do all the fighting styles And I learn to get respect for Grandmaster Clarence and the instructors.
Go Dan!
I’m a black belt under Professor Alex Elias in Kajukenbo and a black belt in Kenpo under SGM George Pesare It’s a great life endeavor
Good technics. I like that the sequences are short and straightforward contrary to some kajukenbo demonstration where they throw a dozen of strikes to a still opponent.
Excluding the starting and ending fancy salutations, WTH?
