Here's the secret. I love Overwatch. I played it since it came out, but Blizzard's been acting a little goofy lately. I want to see what Overwatch does when the money starts to dry up, when the pissed off fans start flocking to a new and direct competitor. I want Blizzard to earn their spot as the best hero shooter.

First of all, just play what you like. But on the two games The two games are different, one is much more casual. OW from the ground up was designed to be an overly competitive game with a built in league system - Blizzard WANT metas, they want heroes to be top of the pack because much like a real sport, it introduces the elements of coaching and practice etc etc that keeps people invested. Marvel Rivals is just a hero shooter with an extremely forgiving rank system, this rank system being more forgiving has left a larger element of the player base being invested. Because if you lose 3 in a row, you can win 1 and gain the points back. The best thing this changes for me, by far, is the same thing I loved about TF2. You can play whatever the fuck you want and your fellow players just stfu about it. Far too often in OW there were back seaters who told you constantly to change hero. It absolutely killed the game.

Lil bro started playing ow yesterday if you made a 10min video defending ow. I would ask myself how many more lies and terrible 5v5 patches until you leave poor victim. Theres actually no way anyone defends a game that released for $40 with full features and then they took everything even the core 6v6 gamemode and called it ow2. They deserve every ounce of hate.

the hate is not messy or pointless, this will scare overwatch corporate so much that they will actually have to deliver on the things they promised or the game will keep leaking players (this is coming from someone who loved and played overwatch for years, and i am not even mad about the pve thing but i understand anyone who hates overwatch for it)

I literally just started playing Overwatch and I’m surprised I’m enjoying it. Taken a bit of time but learning the ins and outs of characters is a fun kind of challenging and I like it. Matches are also pretty fair, so far at least. Great video man and I agree about the amount of vids saying the game is dead. I’m enjoying it

Wow i related so hard to your tf2 story, it legit felt like you put up a mirror to my life, tf2 basically raised me, i would watch the tf2 meet the team video's over and over again endless time, watch tf2 sfm animation's, guides on all the classes and gameplay, and try to get my grubby hands on whatever lore i could find. while i never played the game myself as an kid (mainly because i didnt have money for an computer) but tf2 had such an deep impact on my childhood basically defining my humor and basically defined who i was as an person that just the thought of anything trying to replace it or flat out kill it off made me so defensive and made me so resentful that i didn't touch overwatch and made me think it was nothing but an tf2 ripoff that didn't deserve it's fame Years had went passed and i eventually gotten an console and my friends asked me to download overwatch 2, I only agreed because it was free and was an people pleaser and figured "okay I'll play an couple games then delete it after, but something strange happened i fell in love. I don't know how it happened but i fell in love with the game, from its charaters, its lore, gameplay, pre-round voice lines, I would find my self going out of my way to play this game which was rare for me since gaming was something i only really did to appease my friends, i was hooked and it basically took over my life While I'm older now and personally enjoy tf2 over overwatch way more, i still really like overwatch even tho I don't really play it as much anymore, but i completely understand why people still love this game and don't want to straight up abandon it

I have a similar story, back in 2016 I was obsessed with TF2, and seeing Overwatch taking the spotlight from it made me worried about the game "dying to the new game". Still, Overwatch peaked my interest later on with things like the cinematics and the characters. My old laptop couldn't run it so I kept on playing TF2 (And still do to this day). I only got to try it out last year since my friends wanted to play it together, and I became a big fan of the game. It's not perfect sure, and Blizzard has fumbled the bag multiple times with a franchise that could have been much bigger, but still I can find fun in it all things considered. This whole OW/Rivals war is getting tiring, and it's true that both sides are annoying. The loyalists act just like the TF2 ones from back then (saying that the game is a copy and those who made the jump are traitors) and the haters constantly spewing the same talk points/jokes (OW is dead) in every comment section.

I am honestly so sick and tired of all the clowning on Overwatch 2, with Rivals' newfound popularity awakening it again. The game suffered immensely due to the higher-ups being horrible to everyone and cancelling the promised PvE. As for the stupid fan war, it's exactly as you said: a new toy shows up and people immediately start fighting over whether the old thing or new thing is better. Personally speaking, I enjoy Overwatch more as it allows me to consistently either be the team tank with supports to back our team up, or one of the supports. I know the majority of people in casual quickplay just wanna frag people as their favorite DPS and not worry about roles and balance, but Role Queue is actually really nice for those players who don't want to suffer trying to keep a team of only squishy DPS characters alive.

I will Admit for a while there I didn’t what anything to do with rivals . Because everywhere I look I would just see “Overwatch is dead Why are you playing it?, Dude rivals is so much better, or finally imagine playing Overwatch!? And it got on my nerves so bad too the point where I didn’t even wanna touch rivals. Until last night I got to thinking“well I guess I try it out”. So I downloaded it and play two games as Mantis and l’ll admit the game pretty fun! But I prefer Overwatch as my main game, and still have fun on it too this day! (I’ll admit there somethings blizzard did/do that I don’t agree with) but besides that I love the game!! Really I love both games! I see it as if you get bored of one you can play the other one! Plus I also play other games like Ark and bo3 zombies! Sorry for the long paragraph!! Love the channel!!

Alright I’m about to drop a YAP shesh so lock in, first of all I completely forgot to write all my opinions in that livestream (thank you for putting me in Jessy) and now I look like a… RIVALS enjoyer 🤢🤮 to kinda like clear up what I was saying, I think rivals has better menus, iu, hud, etc. I also appreciate how net ease actually listens to the community (and gives us gooner skins) and balance characters for the most part off of what the community says they want changed, overwatch could NEVER. And I like the monetization, the way they handle skins, battle passes, pricing, is so much better than overwatch. But that’s kinda everything I like about rivals, first of all I started playing overwatch because it’s a first person game and, while there are some times that I’m playing widowmaker I WISH overwatch was third person 🙏🙏 for the most part I find it more immersive and don’t like over the shoulder view. And rivals couldn’t even have first person if they wanted to bc EVERY character in the game has some big flashy deployable, or ability, or ult. And there’s some of that with newer overwatch characters old ones could roll, throw a flashbang and shoot, or throw a conc mine and a trap. There’s complicated in depth abilties (like tire) but not EVERY ability creates a kluster fuck on my screen like rivals does, which is not helped by the destructible terrain. And I’m not a marvel fan so immediately I’m deterred from playing like half the roster I wanna like squirrel girl but I’m not into furries, I wanna like Spider-Man but I don’t wanna play rivals enough to get good at him, in overwatch tho they make their own characters and so I don’t have to play a character I don’t feel connected with and don’t have to not play a super hero I like (just Spider-Man but I might mess with dead pool if he gets added soon) because their kits to hard. Overwatch seems more grounded, all their character are like just robots or people, some of them are completely normal people with like a lot of money or smth, which kinda makes it easier to like the characters vs rivals with a shark, and every character being a super hero or super villain , it’s harder to relate to them imo. Playing overwatch everyday makes me wanna kms, the balance sucks bc the devs only balance off of stats and like making the unfun characters broken (widow) and the fun characters shit (genji) they only give the same handful of characters skins, and they don’t even make skins sometimes, sometimes it’s RECOLORS of RECOLORS and so I really hope rivals can make overwatch lock in a little (or a lot I’m not picky) but also blizzard is lazy and only care abt the money overwatch makes them, not abt overwatch itself and that makes me kinda scared overwatch is just gonna pussy out and close their servers. W tho, and if you get enough ppls opinions you should make a part 2 reading through commenters opinions.
