I’ve only seen black people and Mexicans lock animals up at “home”
I think it's weird that people get a dog and then say its part of their family yet they lock it up in a cage.Do you lock your child in a cage?Put the dog in a section of the house. If you're worried about it causes destruction or going to the bathroom or just train it, don't leave it in a cage that it can barely stand up or turn around in
You do though, as I'm not a part of the people in the video I cant speak for them but, playing devils advocate, One could argue a crib being a cage of which as a parent you don't keep you child there permanently it's for specific occasions. Having designated bedrooms could be argued as cages especially if you "ground" your children or put them in time out, but again, you don't keep them in there permanently it's for specific occasions, what I'm getting at is crate, cage, room, fence, etc. these can all mean the same thing depending on use, context and vocabulary. So despite the word being USEd, what is the CONTEXT of its use? And more a surcface level but to complete the trifecta, Crate and Cage could be used interchangeably depending on the VOCABULARY used by the ''speaker'' Anyway, I'm high and bored so felt like rambling about something😂
@@theesquad4722 you do know the difference between a bedroom and a cage, right? The issue is the dog being placed in a small confined space for 8+ hours a day
@@diceNdiceN my point is that for the rescue dog that isn't a cage it's a safe room in an otherwise very new unfamiliar place, so yes it is a cage physically but contextually the owners may be trying to introduce the dog into the house by not just throwing it in the deep end but letting it have a safe place to return to if and when it feels overwhelmed. Also, I'm being metqphorical but to be more literal, if you can lock the door of a bedroom what separates it's function from a cage? Some cages are too big for whatever is kept in ajd some cages are too small, same can be said about any room, box, crate, fence eitherway, how you use the thing is what is important, so while yes it is a cage, it is being used as a safe retreat for that rescue so that it can freely explore the new home it's in as it feels comfortable. What we saw was basically the dog being "Caught" in the act of getting comfortable in the space and the owners outside of the cage BECAUSE it knows that if it ever gets too "hectic" (stressful, overwhelming, scary etc.) It can return to that comfort that it knows it has access to. I get the point you're making, but "again playing devils advocate" it may not apply in this scenario
@@diceNdiceN if you look up information about people that have been kept in isolation for extremely long periods of time you'll often find then when they get reintroduced into the "real" world, they do often show signs of finding it too overwhelming to be around people or really just the general hussle and bustle of everyday life that we're "used to" and so will often seek out to isolate themselves for comfort so you have to slowly get them used to everything around them but let them be able to isolate "healthily" when it gets too much, it's a similar concept here but just with a dog
@@diceNdiceN it also inadvertently helps reduce lashing out or overreacting because of all the overstimulation of being in a new environment imand in terms of dogs that means less likely to come home to ripped furniture or a general mess because your dog got scared by noise it's not used to from a place it's not used to, or lack there of who knows
I dont get it... she needs to watch some Cesar Millan.😂
Baby is beautiful ❤❤
So cute 😍
such a beautiful doggy 🐕❤
@@lm8725-q7f thank you! ❤️
You mean cage. You've kept your dog in a cage.
@@ShannonR1969 cage/Crate - Yes! These were the first few weeks after we adopted and we needed him to have a place to feel safe and comfortable while he got accustomed to the home. As well as house training (which he became excellent with) so we rarely use the crate. That’s his spot so he enjoys it when he wants
Responsible dog owners have crates. Every puppy I’ve ever rescued was crate-trained and after they were close to a year old and we knew they wouldn’t get into things they shouldn’t when I was gone for the day for work, they got free reign of the home. Crate training is FOR THEIR safety.
@@OfficialTruckerTailsHe is such a happy boy! Thank you so much for bringing him to such a loving home. ❤
Stop being overdramatic Shannon 🤣
@@kaine1327 First of all, no, I do not have to do what you say, and I'm not being "overdramatic." I can't stand it when people keep their dogs in cages for hours every day and think they are being good pet owners. They aren't. It is a cruel practice. How would you like to be cooped up all day like that? I have never once used a crate to "train" a dog, and I've had good dogs all my life. "Crate training" was not a popular thing until 20 years or so ago. Plenty of countries have actually outlawed it, rightfully so.
where is the shipping crate?
i love how its a crate instead of a cage.. Amazing 👀🤣
I’m glad he’s OK😅
Yeah haha! He just casually rolled off 😅 he likes to do that more often than not lol! 😂
