This was a great instructional video. I wasn't even 100% sure what this sensor looked like, as I had ordered what I thought was the sensor but got a wiring harness instead. This video cleared that right up. Thanks, and I subscribed and liked.
@@obrandtb71 I’m glad you found the video to be useful and thanks for subscribing!
If relearn isn’t an option hold lock and unlock button on your key fob
Beautiful car. Small detail though. The factory alloy wheels are right and left handed and two of them on your car ( the drivers front and the passenger rear) are mounted on the wrong side. Just look at either one I mentioned and see how it is “backwards” to the other wheel on the same side.
@@LasloPferg-ru2vt 100% correct, I have this out a couple months after putting new tires and changed this. It was caught in my Thunderbird Facebook group, nice catch though!
Tanks for the video and showing good camera shots.
I'm hearing a sound like a metal door is flapping on passenger side Dash
Thanks for the video I am buying one of these vehicles today and I'm going to change the transmission fluid and the engine oil
Very good explanation and it's clear you are a conscientious worker. Thanks also to your son or helper with the video -- he did a great job alsoI
@@SamSkielnik I’m glad you found the video to be helpful and I appreciate the positive feedback
My 12 Impala doesn't have that
“MODE” not blend door
My snowflake has an / through it. I can't figure it out. 03 tahoe z71.
I was about to take mine out. I literally tapped it with a hammer, while the knob was in the dash air position. After tapping it a few times, it moved into position
GM= GOT MONEY. IN ALL THEIR INFINATE WISDOM gm designers need a kick in their azzez. They built a bullet proof engine around a bunch of fkd up component's. Thanks GM. Back braking BS.
LMAO, and the engine is only bullet proof if you stay on top of the oil leaks.
Did u find out why your tire monitor system light is on? I'm curious if u knew what part that fixed your issue
Yes, I changed the tpms sensors and problem solved.
The car looks great. Did you put new seat covers on it? They look brand new.
Actually I had both seats reupholstered, thanks for the compliment.

Well done, sir. Great video. I wasted my time watching 50 other junk videos before I found this one that actually shows how to do the job, no theme music, unintelligible English promoting the channel, shout out to sponsors, like/subscribe noisy crap. Thank you! I liked and subbed.
@@kingdoge788 Thanks for subscribing and I’m glad you found the video to be helpful. All my videos will be the same way, no time wasted on introductions out rambling to scratch out time. Just how to fix the car
Video was excellent, definitely not easy to get to filter , and engine best be cooled down, or burn arm off.
Accurate, the hardest part is finding the right angle to put the oil filter on. Everything else is fairly simple.
Thanks so much for the video. It was well explained and extremely helpful
I’m glad you appreciated my content and I appreciate the positive feedback!
I got a 2013 and it doesnt have that option
Not sure why it didn’t work for your vehicle, ensure that it don’t have any faults or codes on your vehicle.
Same for me there not even the option I the meun
My 12 LS doesn't have it either
Hold lock and unlock buttons on key fob at the same time until car beeps
It worked. lol fuckin belle tire
🤟🏿
I swear Satan invented the traverse. Getting to anything on my 2015 traverse is a pain in the butt.
The oil filter is definitely a major headache the first couple times 😤
Good job .... safety 1st ....always use ramps or jack stands... ive seen folks get under a car held up by a jack.. never a good idea... 👍
Never! Not only would I never do that, no one in my shop can and I would never put that image out to the public.
Absolutely amazing video! Thank you so much for creating and uploading! Your camera angles, lighting, and step-by-step walkthrough were better than any auto repair videos I've seen online! Have a 2017 Kia Optima with a bad left rear wheel speed sensor and ABS/ESC lights on. I bought the part, then searched for a good how-to video and kept finding ones that just didn't seem to match up with what I was seeing on the Optima. Then I found your video and it was a perfect match, part-for-part and step-by-step! I never could have figured it all out without your awesome video! Got through it without a hitch, no more ABS/ESC light. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Also forgot to mention, your baby extension was awesome! Had to run out and buy one to get the bolts out without removing the shock.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Doing the repair is simple but capturing the right angle and lighting is time consuming. It feels good to know someone appreciates my effort.
Ill have another 97 lx by june. Comfy as a caddy, cool as a mustang, rides like a Benz and handles like a vette. The 97 had the most horse power and best suspension. Mine has 4 wheel disc brakes and a sunroof The New one will also have 4 wheel disc brakes and a sunroof.
I sold mine 6 months ago and finished another one 2 months ago. I’m going to post a couple videos within the next week or 2
Thanks for showing the process of the damn bolts. FYI 7/32 standard = 5.5mm
I’m glad you found the video to be insightful, thanks for watching!
I just got a 96 the other day with a supercharger kit and cams. Definitely a very underrated car
I just put another 96’ together, I’m going to post it in a couple days!
Good info. Definitely follow his advice of not using a drill if you are not 100% comfortable that you won't mess up the threads.
Sometimes slower is faster…
Thank you to you & your son I was able to change my aunts oil filter & oil 🫡 salute to both of yall… little man is hungry to learn, gotta love it 💯🔥
Thanks for the positive feedback, I’m glad we were able to help and you enjoyed the channel.
Doesn’t work for 2012
Did you replace the TPMS sensors?
My car exactly
I just bought another one, same car but my new one has gray cloth seats
Where did u get the tires at
Ebay
The drain bolt location need to be relocated. That's a design flaw in the pan. The oil runs back with car lifted
Put a rag around the funnel to keep oil off the engine.
Never tried this but I always grab a shop towel when I lift the funnel, I’m called the clean hand mechanic for a reason I’m very meticulous!
I struggled with the same problem on my 05 Yukon, except it was for the rear AUX heater. After lots of diagnosing and realizing there was nothing wrong with the actuator or the control module, I realized that the feedback circuit that tells the control what position the door is in was out of range. It should read between about 1 and about 4 volts depending on the position. If it reads close to zeor or close to 5 volts then the acutator will stay in the extreme position and will not move. Use a volt meter and measure pin 9 of the actuator, it should be the dark blue wire. If its out of range, remove the actuator, open the acutator and reposition the gear then place something at the stops to prevent the gear or arm from allowing it to turn beyond the extreme ends. Reinstall and initialize the control by removing battery power or the HVAC fuse for about a minute. measure pin 9 and confirm your voltage stays between 1 and 4 volts at the extreme end of door movement. Easy fix but complicated explanation. Oh and the actuator pins start at 5 and go to 10. Pin 8 should be missing if our acuators are the same. Good luck.
Great job teaching the young awesome.
Thanks, I don’t force it on my son but when he started showing interest I began teaching him
Problem is when you turn ignition off and fan stops blowing that white gear fall back down. You would have to jam something against it or tape it in the position you want.
Thanks for the hack. I'm having the same issue. I think the mechanics didn't line it up correctly after fixing / diagnosing. Do you think you can flip the door without removing the old one?
Y did u change them out..was there problems?
ABS light was coming on so I scanned the car and found a fault for the wheel speed sensor. I changed the sensor rather than changing the entire wheel hub to save money.
Will it tell you when the next oil change or service is needed?
Yes
@@cleanhandmechanic6325 thank you
@@philipaurea1869 You’re welcome, anytime.
Good job! It’s good to see you teaching your son this!
Thank you, I started my son with just memorizing tool names but the more I kept him around the shop the more involved he wanted to be. I’m glad he’s soaking up as much as he can.
Great video! I replaced mine last night and it took way longer than expected due to the caliper bracket bolts being ridiculously difficult to remove. I was worried for a minute. Luckily, removing the sensor from the hub was the easiest part. Thanks for saving me a ton of money :)
You’re welcome I’m glad this video helped, I did this repair myself for the same reason… to save money! Thanks for watching
Are the hubcaps removable so you could replace it with the T-bird logo hubcap you see on the 95s?
On my vehicle there was no hub cap, it was a solid rim
Is this the same for 2002 Chevy suburban?
I believe so, should be the same make up but I’m not 100% sure.
OK. getting the actuator out is the easy part. getting it back in is the HARD PART. And no one gives any guidance on how to do it. Its clear you don't know how either.
Not quite true, actually I have replaced the actuator on this vehicle. You have to use a short 1/4 extension to get the screws started, you will be upside down and it will be difficult but you can definitely do it. I don’t think I could get a camera view of how to do this without go pro or some type of headset which I don’t have. I’ve had this vehicle 10+ years, maybe I’ll make another video of the repair to help you out. Like and subscribe, I’ll be making videos on the fuel pump, headlight electrical repair and I guess I’ll throw in the actuator.
@@cleanhandmechanic6325I need all them videos 🤣🤣🤣
Super easy I just did it on my truck! What did you find difficult? All you have to do is line up the two pegs in the cam and it goes right on.
@camtheman559 the hard part is the clearance I can only fit one hand with minimal visibility
Great video!
Thank you, I appreciate the positive feedback! I will be doing lots more videos on this vehicle as it is my personal vehicle and I’m restoring it. So if you’d like to see more please like and subscribe to my channel.
Pretty nice video help me a lot wirh my Sonata ,did a change a fix the ABS light thanks
I’m so glad you found the video to be helpful, thanks for the positive feedback!
At 2:00+ put the safety pins in the Jack stands. PS At 9:00 you should have prefilled the filter about 1/3 to 1/2 so the oil pump isn’t running dry the first few seconds.
Great info I appreciate it! I never heard that about filling the oil filter some. I think that’ll be great for my 2004 Tahoe, but that may be difficult on this vehicle because the filter is horizontal.
The 96 and 97 sound different from the 94 95
I didn’t know that, I’ve actually had a 96 and 97
Beautiful. Best stock v8 ever
I sold mine and I truly miss it
Thank you for this, I will do this until the actuator comes in
Great! I’m glad the video helped you, this lasted almost a year for me before I went ahead and fixed it properly.
@cleanhandmechanic6325 this florida weather be making that ac a necessity!!! I don't need it cooling off the windshield, I need it cooling me
@@biggbossman1130 Lmao, exactly!! Same here I’m in FLA as well
