In the 1980s there were a number of livestock killed & a number of sightings of big cats on Dartmoor. Experts gave their opinion & some seemed certain a big cat was involved. There were theories that they might be hiding in old mine-workings or caves. Farmers demanded action & a huge search was carried out. Many people gathered & completely surrounded the area in which there had been the most sightings & incidents. There were enough people to form a vast circle, the searchers were within sight of those either side, to try to ensure no creature could slip away unseen. The searchers gradually came into the centre of the area they were investigating but there were no sightings of any creature that could have caused the maulings.

God we were 8 years old, and we’re to scared to turn around. We ran for our lives, one of the most scariest moments of my life. Also found large footprints . Place has a Bigfoot.
