Air bubbles will leave an uneven print surface and as you know, a flat printbed is key to printing - more so if you are not using a sensor for bed meshing. Also you are better off adjusting the endstop sensor for z-homing since the added thickness of the magnetic mat throws it off for the glass bed anyway. I would turn the bed height adjustment wheels so the springs are halfway depressed and adjust the endstop to the printsurface you use most. You can always add a profile in your slicer for printing on your glass surface with the correct thickness offset to your z by adding a few lines to your start g-code (basically let it home, move up and pause for you to put on the glass, and then move down to the corrected height). Since this video is old you might have moved on to another printer, but if not, I suggest looking up silicone spacers instead of springs. Short and to the point. Good vid.

Try searching the ikea desk hack it’s what I use as my setup and it has alot of storage space and you can print even more organized things with the 3D printer and then just get a peg board
