In most calculus classes, you have to take by faith that the derivative of cosine is equal to the negative sine function. In this video, I'll go ahead and show this derivation (step-by-step) by taking the derivative of a cosine function using the formal definition of a derivative and showing that it's equal to the negative sine function.

This is a continuation to the first differentiating video. In this one, we're jumping into differentiating the function f(x) = sort(x) using the definition of a derivative. In the next few videos, I'll go ahead and introduce a technique, used in calculus, to find the derivatives of functions like this in a very simple manner.

What's up guys! Although the standard for finding derivatives lies within using the power rule, some teachers/professors will ask you to find the derivative of a function using the formal definition of a derivative and here it is!
