@@chanceamidan7169 exactly, I didn’t draw archery deer for the first time in my life this year. Nothing is promised anymore so hunt every chance you get!
I think I found that bulls brother. Big six with a funky front end on the left side but a big flyer 3rd on the right that starts at the base of the 4th.
I can see that you where excited but my dude you held it together better then almost anyone I have seen I mean cold as ice congrats I know I'm months late but if your out this season good luck
Id like to take credit for keeping my emotions in check but I think I was just in awe of what happened. Don't let the video fool you, I was a nervous wreck waiting for him to show himself, shaking like a leaf. Glad you liked the video.
@@clintdye3380 yeah I'm leaving Saturday for over the counter Colorado so I'm watching all of the elk videos I can last minute of course That was a great bull by the way
snag em n tag em awesome, have fun in Colorado and good luck. I’m actually leaving Friday to help two friends (Ken and Pete from the video) with their archery elk tags in Wyoming. Here’s to lots of bugles, fun and a few arrows finding their mark. Good luck 👍
You hunters have a special pleasure in filming the agony of the affected animal. And sometimes it’s a horrible agony until it falls. Why that? Do you like to show your aim and skills? Thrill for the kill? Any morbid pleasure? Any pathological disease? And please don´t came telling me you have to put food on the table and have to fill the freezer for the winter. Those are wasted lies. You have plenty of beef, pork, fish enad poultry at the market. You´re a grown man. try to evolve
Agree to disagree I guess. How is it that the beef, pork, fish, and poultry got to the market?? Wasted lies? You killed those animals with your credit card , don’t kid yourself.
Can some one explain this tag and points thing...I am from the UK and am not familiar with what ever was said with regards to tags and points. Nice video BTW!
Woodyrascel Thanks for the comment. In most western states the hunting permits “tags” are distributed through a limited draw system . Each unsuccessful attempt to draw a tag earns the hunter a point. As the hunter accumulates points over the years his/her odds are increased depending on their points . This tag took me 19 points to finally have the odds in my favor. I hope this explanation helps
Really good video!! Captured the essence of what archery elk hunting is & I really appreciated the fact that you were super respectful after the shot and trailing. When you realized what you’d done, you weren’t whooping and hollering & disrespectful of the magnificent animal. I can’t believe you passed on the first bulls in your ground blind!!!! What a spot to hunt!!!! Again, great job!!!
Clint Dye, one question I gotta know, what brand of boonie hat does your buddy Ken have on & where can I get one? It looks like a greenish version of Predator camo. I also was an instant fan of the video when I saw you were a fellow Tundra driver!! Hahahahaha
Awesome job man looks like SJER and looks like you camped same place we did in 2015, my wife killed a beast down there. Best hunt we ever been on for sure. Check hers out on my channel .
Hey, you are a great and respectful hunter Clint. I really appreciate your professionalism and the love you show for Gods wonderful animals. Subscribed!
q w bonus points. It’s a part of Utah’s draw system. Every year of being unsuccessful your awarded a bonus point. High quality hunting units require a lot of point and /or a lot of luck
@@clintdye3380 thanks I got that but I thought he was saying you can trade your accumulated unsuccessful points in for lesser quality permits or something like that???
Wow, I’ve got to say this is one of the most well captured hunts I’ve seen in a long time! Over all an excellent job videoing, editing and showing the true nature and appreciation of the hunt. Congratulations on a fantastic bull you deserve it!
Donald Thirsk thank you, my wife spent a lot of time working on it, I’ll say we’ve started down a rabbit hole in doing videos . Can’t wait to start a new one
Great video! I hope to hunt with you and your dad again someday!
what a beautiful memory made! that late season weather condition look extremely cold. BRRR.... congratulations on a beautiful bull!

Man im in the same boat wondering if i should do an archery cause I just want to hunt not gather points .
Do it, if your talking Utah the elk herd certainly isn’t getting any better. The glory days are behind us. Get your name in the hat and go for it.

Nice hunt and Bull. Just curious, with so many Bulls coming by your blind in the first week why not take one then?
My goal was to take a mature bull, the bulls that came into the blind were all young bulls

@@clintdye3380 so if you don't get a tag you can not hunt?
@@woodyrascel Correct
@@clintdye3380 That sucks!....is that for public land...what about private land?
Woodyrascel There are plenty of options for purchasing tags for private land but they come at a very high cost.
