i quite agree with you on some of the stats as regards Northern Nigeria to some extent sir. But to say Nigeria can not develop without Northern Nigeria, is a fallacy. Pa Obafemi Awolowo developed South west Nigeria in the 60s without the Northern Nigeria. i really want to see northern Nigeria developed, and any meaningful development must include firm re-orientation of the larger population in the north. marrying multiple wives and giving birth to multiple children must be controlled. Overblotted population in the north without any plan towards productivity is not away to go. The North need to lessen its grips on religious fanaticism and invest more in western education. This will go a long way in securing the north for flows of investment because where there's insecurity and banditry; there can never be any meaningful develpment. Finally, Nigeria as a whole needs to toe the part of regional government to allow local inclusivity in governance process and to engender speedy development.

Please with no offense to other tribes and the Islamic religion, this is my honest submission. The major reason why the north has not seen major growth as to contributing majorly to the economy of Nigeria and the headquarters of poverty in Nigeria is because the Islamic religion has been selectively practiced quite differently from the way an average muslim in Saudi will practice same religion. Saudi and some arab nations are doing well in terms of their human capital development but northern Nigeria have selectively made it difficult for all persons from the north to access such kinds of development except some elite and their allies. First of all, the north is very diverse in culture and language with the Hausas been the most spread. Now there's no good inclusivity of other ethnic groups and also importantly other religions found in northern Nigeria. Because of this people from other regions think that the north are just hausas and muslims (yes there are people in 2025 who don't know that there are christains in the north because the north didn't adequately represents these other groups).The fulanis saw that the hausas are indeed the majority and quickly cling to the hausa ethnicity but they are actually different tribes. Fulanis speak fulfude. The common thing hausas and fulanis have is majorly the religion islam. Now if the north should realize that 1. There are other tribes and religion that must be recognized 2. That Nigeria is a secular state so that everybody's culture and religion is respected and tolerated not necessarily love, 3. Growth and development is what we all needs not necessarily love each other. The north will be able to tap her full potential. Peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️
