    Glad you included the lockbox option in the discussion. I've seen many videos that unequivocally say never leave your gun in the car. If you're a government employee working in a correctional facility or courthouse, or your company has a "No Firearms" policy, you have no choice, other than to leave it home. Then queue in the "never leave your home unarmed" videos. And heaven help us if we have to go to the Post Office!🤦🏻

    Yeah except it's not "completely modular" or at least Springfield Armory is not embracing it's completely modular features because and I quote "there are no plans at this time to sell slides on there own, if we decide to change that in the future they will be listed on the website" this of course was after a lengthy debate with one of their managers because I bought an echelon the first week it came out and was sold on the idea of it being a modular handgun, one that could save me money and space by not having to buy several handguns for several situations but one Central a operating Group with several loadouts. I just wanted to buy a compact slide for the compact grip module and magazines and recoil assembly I bought my wife for Xmas so that she could put her COG into a compact form because that's what she's been waiting for. Springfield flat out refused to sell me a slide even when I told them if that's the case we are selling our echelons to go with sig p320s because we thought we were investing in a truly modular handguns. Basically they didn't care they want you to buy more handguns. There are now 7 Echelon models available, and instead of being able to have one COG and 7 load outs, in order to utilize any of those other components your gonna end up buying 7 handguns and having 7 Central Operating Groups, that's just completely UNMODULAR. I don't know what they are thinking considering EVERY other company with a modular handgun has "customer freedom" in choosing how to build their pistol whole or in pieces and With Springfield you can't even buy a COG on its own . So if modular handguns was a race they would be in dead last going backwards, I'll be investing in the kriss kymera, as well as my wife and kissing the Echelon (which was my favorite pistol ever until this) goodbye. I can't give a company my money that doesn't care about customer satisfaction and would rather lose customers then to sell them a slide

    CZ have absolutely dropped the ball with the DWX. Dan Wesson are telling competitors using the gun to send the gun back to replace springs. In addition, you can’t get replacement parts!@&$ Many manufacturers are introducing similar (inferior in my opinion) 2011 concepts and leaving the DWX in the dust due to Dan Wesson’s antiquated Fudd attitude. If CZ doesn’t get their act together (moves HQ to anti gun Connecticut) they will absolutely destroy their base…

      Yeah the cz ceo claimed that the new modular p10c was releasing in a few months a year ago. They literally gave us nothing.. Smith&Wesson is releasing aluminum sidearms instead of a proper 3.0, glock hasn't released a modern 6.0, no 10mm echelon, nothing good from walther, canik releases a fancy canik mc9 that has a 17 round grip instead of a 15 making it completely useless for concealed carry. These companies have gone downhill and they no longer make logical decisions.

      A high capacity micro option would make sense if cz thought logically. Unfortunately half of these companies don't think with logic. All 3 of you look down to reholster your weapon. You should be able to reholster without looking down to do so. This keeps your eyes up and scanning for possible threats... I understand you may not carry in this fashion everyday, if at all but it's also true of your EDC holster as well. Just remember to SLAM your thumb into that hood. It'll push the hood down and out of the way every time so you don't have a "short stroke" causing the hood to still be engaged.

    • @b.a_charlie2228
      @b.a_charlie2228 Місяць тому

      Bad take imo. I think it’s not a bad skill to be confident at knowing where your holster is, however why not look at your holster when reinserting. You said to always be scanning ahead, I would say that you should not be trying to reholster until you are certain the threat is no longer a concern. I think it is a far better habit to look down to reholster because that is honestly where a lot of ND’s end up happening. Just my take.

      @b.a_charlie2228 why is your finger on the trigger when reholstering??????? Not looking doesn't cause that... You can never be 100% certain that all threats are neutralized.

    • @sticksonrecord3257
      @sticksonrecord3257 Місяць тому

      Bad take. If you're putting your weapon away, this would assume that you've deemed the moment safe enough to holster up -- If it's safe enough to holster up, it's safe enough to take half a second to properly index yourself and put your weapon away safely. I understand the thought of "you never know if all the threats are gone", but to each their own. It doesn't take but half a second to come off your sightline, to the holster, back up to scanning. Ive watched a coworker let muscle memory take over while he was reholstering on the range, didn't look (def wasn't in the holster) and he just *dropped* his Glock on it's nose lmao

      @@BlackWat3rGTR who said your finger is on the trigger? That being said accidents do happen and sometimes that can happen and has happened to some people. Also, if you’re never able to confirm a threat is clear then do you carry 100% of the time with the gun in your hand every where you go? Not in the holster but in your hand every where. Remember the you can never be 100% certain. (Obviously a bit of hyperbole here but still stands)
