How does the world look in your eyes? Papika and Cocona, the heroines of the story, hold the keys to open the door. When the two girls meet, their adventures in a different time and different overlapping dimension called "Pure Illusion" begin. Many things in Pure Illusion will stand in the girls' way on their search for the mysterious crystal called the "Shard of Mimi," an item that is said to grant any wish. However, when the girls find themselves in danger, the Shard of Mimi shines, and they are able to transform.

@@youngkappakhan Damn, I typed out an entire thing but youtube deleted it. I watched this show in 7th grade 2014-15 ish? I just got the Blu-Ray this year, but I've watched about 3 times now! It's a goofy episodic space adventure about an alien bounty hunter and his crew! Definitely a sit-back and pop-on type anime! The english dub is actual gold and helps that attitude of watching an episode whenever. The big catch of this series is that each episode is written and directed by a different person each time so it is almost impossible to not have a favorite episode! And yes, that includes animation director. Space Dandy's influence on Flip Flappers is super apparent! The animation director for Flip Flappers directed an episode of Space Dandy and a ton of people got their start working here too. Studio Bones does such a bangin job at animating this show, it's absolute eye candy when everything is in motion! It's a surprisingly fleshed out show. The characters have good chemistry, every planet they visit is well thought out, and by the end it tells a pretty good story! A few episodes had me crying or wanting more from that director or writer. My only caveat is that episode one makes you think that the show is heavy on fan service when it's really there as a jab at anime (There's like a two in one episode where they parody Yu-Gi-Oh and racing anime), or surprisingly enough progress the plot in some way. And I'm pretty sure there are cult followings just for episode 4 and the season 1/2 finale. Sorry if my writting seems frantic or dis-organized! I had like 3 and a half paragraphs typed out but then youtube yoinked em from me. So I'm kinda pissed/burnt out. If you want to watch an episode, just msg me on discord. TL:DR why would you not watch a show with title cards like "Dandy's Day In Court, Baby" or "Sometimes You Can't Live With Dying, Baby". Season 1 is short and you'll know if you like it by the time you finish that.
