The walk is generally a bit floaty anyway and there are noticeable skips later on before zooming into the facial close up. This backpack is for people who like to load a bunch of stuff. What you’re asking for already exists with other brands and lowepro tried this design and many people (myself included) love this backpack. It’s more for your basic camera equipment like a 70-200 with 18-35 lens and take that on a plane and you’re set. A lot of the details you dislike seem more of personal preference of course every backpack has its downsides but for 120-160 bucks you can’t go wrong with this. For you maybe the lowepro protactic BP 450 may be your type of fit.

Seems there's a new green/bike friendly standard being applied to roadways. There's a business/light industry park in my area that had high traffic on 4 small lanes, reduced to three with a middle turn lane and the two bike lanes. There was a four lane 4-way light that reduced to two lanes...now we have slower traffic in general and bottle-necks in early/late business hours. I frequent that area at least 3-4 times a week...this year I've seen only one bike. This has never, I expect ever, been a bike friendly environment. Generally the only bikers I see are exercise oriented bikers.
