Congratulations to Khalifa International Award for Date palms and agricultural Innovation and should identify and recognize the long served botanist who worked on site with date palms attending to their plant protection needs especially the dreadful insect pest RPW infestation in addition to their fertilizer needs and applications and transplantation and selection of date palms for transplantation in additions to his scientific publications especially RPW control, Drip and bubbler irrigation systems etc for the award. Unfortunately palm scientists are selected for their single or two publications in additions to their office work with very little field work But I was with date palms for more than 40 years working in Agriculture section of Abu Dhabi Municipality and after retirement in Parsons International Company, Abu Dhabi and I myself attempted twice for the award competition while I was in Abu Dhabi. I am 78 years old and back in my home town in India.

Khalifa International Award for Date palms and agricultural Innovation should identify and honour the long served DATE PALM workers who were with date palm active services in date palm protection especially the control of dreadful Red Palm Weevil from Abu Dhabi emirate in 2000s in addition to their general maintenance and transplantation in addition to their scientific publications in palm pest control, irrigation systems etc in international journals for more than 40 years in Abu Dhabi emirate and finally retired and settled in their home country. YES I am waiting for that occasion. Thank you all.

Khalifa International Award for Date palms and agricultural Innovation should recognise and honour the agricultural engineers who worked on site with date palms attending their to their requirements of plant protection especially the control of dreadful Red Palm WEEVILS in addition to their fertilizer application etc in addition to scientific publications in international journals for LONG YESRS OF 40 YEARS. But awards are given to scientists who never spend times on sites with date palms. I was working with date palms for almost 40 years while I was in Agriculture Section of Abu Dhabi Municipality for 30 years and 10 more years with Parsons International Limited Abu Dhabi in additions to my publications. I attempted twice for the award but was never considered for the award. I am 78 years old retired and tired and back in their home country I NEED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR MY SERVICES TO DATE PALMS AND AWARD AS WELL.. Thank you all.

My sincere request to Khalifa International Award for Date palms and agricultural Innovation is to identify, recognize and honour the ailing workers of date palms who worked for long years for about 40 years on site with date palms in the agricultural laboratory and published scientific research papers on RPW control date palm irrigation systems in international journals and ailing in their home countries. I personally request Dr. Zaid to consider my suggestion.

While when I was in Abu Dhabi I used to participate in the competition for the award. I participated twice. I have done lots of field, office work in addition to my publications including RPW control and Date Palms and Drip and bubbler irrigation systems. But I was not gifted with an award.In all I have worked for about 40 long years with date palms of which 30 years in agricultural section of Abu Dhabi Municipality and 10 long years with Parsons International Limited, Abu Dhabi. Anyway all my wishes to the winners of the award 2023. Thank you all.
