Archery Fannin/Dall Sheep Hunt 2021
Переглядів 44 тис.Рік тому
Ivan and I headed up to Tombstone Outfitters in the Yukon Territory to hunt sheep with our friends Reuben and Ole Pete. We hiked through 30c temps on a back pack hunt that came with the typical highs and lows of archery hunting. Laughter was abundant, sweat was copious, and water was scarce. Sheep were everywhere and fun was had. enjoy.

8 Days of Awesome! Successful Alberta Willmore Wilderness Sheep Hunt
Переглядів 77 тис.4 роки тому
in 2017 Cor, Ivan, and myself saddle the mules and ride into the Willmore for one of the funnest sheep hunts we've ever had. The weather was almost all great, the smoke stayed away til the last day and we got to make memories and take home a nice ram. A huge shout out to Jeff Solberg for Editing my film!

Ivan and I on our successful 2015 Bighorn sheep hunt . One of the most amazing hunts of my life, and also my most grueling pack out ever! We spent a total of 38 hiking hours packing out with my pack weighing 127 lbs and Ivan's weighing 124 lbs when we got to the truck. Looking back i wouldn't change a thing! a huge shout out to Jeff Solberg for helping me edit it!

    The best Alberta sheep hunting video I've seen yet. Two great rams, self supported, backpacking, way back in there. Love it! I'm planning on doing something similar this year. If I could ask you guys a couple of questions, I'd really appreciate it. Congratulations!

    Living and guiding sheep in Alaska with 40 years of taxidermy, I have yet to see a ram older than 13. I would say you're counting a few shadow rings!

    It,s hard enough to shoot a ram with a rifle and next to impossible to get one with a bow but lots of hard work and a little bit of luck will help.

    Congrats! Did a biologist ever give you a actual age of that ram? It’s awful hard to believe he’d be 15 or even 14 years old. That’s incredibly old. That’s like a 110 year old person.

      First shot he hit a hair low was my fault, I had ranged it, told him the range and as it moved off I was trying to keep my eyes on it and didn’t get a fresh range. It was literally 4” low other than that perfect. After that it was wounded, and moving off, not many people can keep it together at that point.

    • @MisterRz
      @MisterRz 3 роки тому

      @@danindenbosch Well after that first shot the poor animal was pretty much destined to be doomed, but if you aimed a lil bit higher, who knows? a heart shot? or maybe better, a spine shot?
