I hear something too on this vid, weird cos i don't hear it when I'm next to the car, could be the audio, it's a really cheap camera. Good ear though m8👍

@@Ezpzz207 Yeah I still have it, Still feels like new. I only do a few hundred miles a year on nice days. It's an investment really, I have my other Subaru to drive hard on track.

Nope haha, It's slightly better, I get surge at 2/3 full tank, was 3/4 before.

Yes, at half a tank it surges. I tried to fix it with a catch can in the tank but only slightly improved it. Thought about a swirl pot but I want to keep the car as original as possible.

@@gianxc It had a new fuel pump in 2017, think it was a 290 lph.

@@nathanaelchetty500 They do Trackdays for kids too, if your not old enough for that you should try getting into karting, never to young to start.

Yes i still have it, I rarely drive it though. May be up for sale soon. Not many in this condition and mileage left.

@@nrznrz947 Mileage is 35,030. This video was over 2 years ago and mileage was 34,448 , so i only did 500 miles in 2 and a half years, Never been out in rain. I've got an idea of how much i want, if you make an offer i'll tell you if it's close. Are you in the UK?

I don't know mate , it may have been remapped for UK fuel when it was imported . I've not done anything to it, owned it since 2001 year after import. Does it look different to yours ?

Thanks , was yours red or white? ive never seen another red one ,they changed it to a different red after 94 . think they made 700 red 700 white in 93/94 and most were used in rally , it's a pretty rare car now.

Thanks, the wheels are Corsa Speedline lightweight tarmac 17" , tyres are Yokohama AD08R 215/40R/17. It's got the stock RA springs not lowered . Im thinking of getting some decent coilovers because last time i was on track the rear tyres were rubbing on the arches . The track day vid is on my channel if you're interested.

@@DaveCheshire tidy stuff! Does look 🔥 as is. Have bought a white 94 RA myself. Don’t want to go over the top with mods. Just wheels, different exhaust system, air intake etc and like yourself maybe some decent coilovers

@@chazgodwin5914 Nice one 👍🏻 The version 1 is a rare car , not seen any on the road. Are you in the UK? I bought mine in 2001 and the only problem i've had is the gearbox (3 rebuilds) think the early 5 speeds can only handle 300-350 bhp mines around 300. Changing gears to fast melts the synchro's , I treat the gearbox like glass now and its been fine. I subbed to you're channel incase you upload any vids of it, would like to see.

Haha thanks m8 , it's an old car that's been off the road for 15 years, i didn't want to drive it too hard , was just a test day really . The brakes weren't good enough for track use , can be pretty scary when you press the brake pedal at 100 mph and nothing happens hahaha.

Ok m8 chill out lol kin ell , sorry i didn't thrash it for you. It will rev to 8200 but i usually change gear around 7k .

Why?? Boost and power is tailing off at those RPMs on the stock turbo. I always changed at 6500-7000 and used the midrange power and close gearing in my version 8 twinscroll car.

The JDM's have equal length exhaust pipes from the engine , it's supposed to be more efficient .

@@DaveCheshire I know that much, but I couldn't imagine that this is making such a big difference. I love that rumble. But unequal length headers are also no good for the engine.

@@markusgerwin8716 I don't know if it's bad for the engine or not, I also have a 1994 WRX Type RA and never had any problems engine wise . It has had lots of gearbox issues though , the 5 speed gearboxes were known for being weak . The 6 speed gearbox in the twin scroll is bulletproof , it feels great.

@@DaveCheshire I just bought a 2004 wrx sti wr1 this Friday. It has got the 6 speed manual and it just feels awesome. I hope the engine will last long. It's still untouched but also it came with 320 hp when it was new. This thing just fucks off. It almost flies! And it rumbles.

Dave76 I heard using a flash drive with a mini usb option used with a smart phone you can import the music, but no other way that I know. gives me something to work for, besides a facecam.

I don't own a phone lol , I use ps3 to copy music from disc to usb , pain in the ass , PS4 should do that . Not sure about video as I don't have a camera .

Dave76 No, ps4 doesn't play audio cds. The only way is use of a flash drive. It's sad that the ps4 has less features as far as media goes.
