Thanks for the video, my test is next week. I am the least qualified as far as experience is concerned but I am putting in my best effort. I am the old guy out there and plan on showing these boys what I can do.

I think it's good they do a practice CPAT test for women, because 90% of women who think they can do the job, actually can't do the job..The test will give them just a taste of how physically demanding the job is. Having said that, I've worked with many female firefighters who were in shape, were great firefighters, and put the work in to do the job.

Shoutout to EMS paramedic and emts that don’t get the credit since sometimes they deserve more !

This is like a young cadet program? Or this is the actual fire academy recruits? just wondering because I didn’t see anyone head shaved (like LAPD recruits do). Does LAFD not make you shave your head like LAPD or the marines do?

What a great, inspiring interview. I mean them are some beautiful strong women up there I hope my daughter grows up one and become something of that nature. For the ladies that have the kids I didn’t hear anything about a father being involved but I applaud them for not making any excuses. I am a father that’s pursuing a career in fire and I no longer am with my child’s mother’s. The sense of not being there sucks but I do my best to be present when I am there. Once I’m able to sign that contract I know it’ll change my life and my kids and it will definitely be worth the struggle!
