Let's spare a moment, for those days that aren't quite the 21st day.

Hacknet Labyrinths Final Mission - Crash
Переглядів 4,4 тис.7 років тому
Obvious spoilers ahead on this one. Best to watch if you've already finished. This is the 'being an absolute bastard' route. Kaguya's found something crazy, and we need to be absolutely sure it's done with for good. Really, the only difference between this and the one where you don't down the other one is a couple of lines of chat.

I'm not sure how or why this happens, but it has a few times now. Most of the time the vehicle stops freaking out and gets on with it after a minute or so, but this one has been at it for a while now. It almost bankrupted me when it stopped trade vans from getting through, but thankfully leaving and re-entering the city resets the trade vehicles. Every vehicle except this one, I mean. Weird. Th...
Olay but why not notify authorities? Like im sure having those files about chemical weapons is illegal
I think if you told authorities that you were part of a group that almost crashed a plane full of people you'd be in more trouble than the people developing the weapons.
@@TheTailson i mean like why not just tell them before the whole crash the plane plan and so they would just check plane after landing VERY carefully
@@blueengineer7019 I think maybe Kaguya also had a screw loose in some places lmao, I think you have to be a little odd to decide crashing a plane is a good idea.
@@blueengineer7019 ALSO we can't rule out that the government knew about it already! It was a weapon they were making, after all.
so in the end it does not matter if you save the plane or not.
Just a different ending and different friends! Cole will probably never talk to you again, but at that point we're talking roleplay haha
Iirc you can be a dick and crash the other plane without consequences
At least it wasnt flight 767.
I'm curious, what would happen if we save PA_0022 but sabotage the other one so it crashes instead
I'm not sure, I didn't try it. I feel like everyone would be mad haha
I know I'm late but pleas someone anser me. How did he get the connections so neat?
Extremely late reply, but there should be an option in the game's settings somewhere.
@@xZippy Another late reply, No, you get a command in the game called "NetMapOrganiser.exe" it helps you organize the nodes. Kaguya gives it to you during a mission.
i fixed it but the plane still crashed and she still thanked me for saving it lmao
The fact that Coel bans Kaguya from their own IRC means they've had that backdoor in place for a while, probably expecting something like this from them. Pretty intriguing. Also funny that it's called "COEL_TRAIN_ROLLOUT"
I love this music.
Kaguya! What have you done!? You wanted to Crash a Plane! YEAH RIGHT!
kaguya was shady anyway, on his pc he faked the weapons on planes. plus, he targets populated planes, the more deaths, the more notice.
The level of potential this game has is wasted. There are so much details from having a nuclear meltdown to having a fusion reactor startup sequence.
It could have been amazing! Unfortunately, I think the EA behemoth choked it to death before it could even release. It's a huge shame.
The only thing they had to do was just to copy Simcity 4, implement a better graphic and allow mods. But EA fucked up everything
@@navidnazem4494 My favourite part is EA swearing up and down during pre-release streams that giving each individual a permanent workplace and residence would be "impossible" due to whatever reason, and then Cities Skylines came out of nowhere doing exactly that for cities 200x the size.

Im here because the world started construction on the real fusion reactor on July 30th 2020...gotta say....this is a quite realistic of how the fusion reactor is going to look like when it works....it consumes a lot of power to generate more than it consumed...
this is legit killing thousands of people for no reason route just to have some lines of code changed
KTH.txt __skimming over unimportant details...__ Phase 3: *Make a public attack on a system* protected by their software. Prompt an update, which includes your injected error. They will find, fix and remove it, but in doing so, will be forced to rebuild their systems using the compromised compiler. The red herring attack forces this and also leads them into thinking they have solved the problem. All future versions of their software now silently allow you full access to target machines. There is no source code to fix, or error in their program at all, as all of your work is only injected at a late-compile time. Not only that, even them checking and recompiling their *compiler* won't fix it, as the hack propagates to the new version invisibly and automatically. ----------------------------------------------------- If you believed Kaguya's story... you were swindled. This attack was set up just to inject source code into a rebuilt software so that there'd be one vulnerability and one vulnerability only that would never be closed on future security software development. I was shocked and terrified they'd be willing to go through with this, especially with D3f4ult showing no remorse or hesitation for it... but now, now I am just SICK. Extinguishing how many human lives??? Just to have some code changed???
Even the CEO of EnTech wasn't that outright *_EVIL_* . Criminally irresponsible - yes, but, at least, his plans didn't include hundreds of deaths (even death of Bit was a result of miscommunication and he tried to prevent it).
What the KTH.txt file describes is a real thing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backdoor_(computing)#Compiler_backdoors
This is a fairly accurate representation of what it feels like to apply a hotfix in production
When naix rootway and del all his sys but he can still create his x-server
I reloaded it just while it crashed, yet it still didn't crash.
The sad thing is, in this situation... If the chemical weapon is that terrible, then the needs of the many out weight the few, it's an extremely hard decision, but one that must be made, you either kill a few hundred, or sit back and see the possibility of thousands if not hundreds of thousands dying, just think if they tracked the information on who made the decision, let alone why they made the decision. The information I think would be very interesting, all of the data that would come in, i'm extremely curious to see what the results would be. Perhaps i'm a terrible person, but I would down both planes to prevent a chemical from being weaponized, unless there is specific information and evidence to show that it can't become a weapon system.
Yeah I do see where you're coming from. Personally, I think I'd refuse to do it until I was given more details and proof. The planes have a few hours on their flights, that's enough time to come to a proper decision. If Kaguya's fears were real, I'd probably agree to down the planes. Like you said, needs of the many.
You find out in an earlier optional mission that Kaguya is a bit of an underhanded prick and might not be trustworthy. The person could very well have been lying to you.
Ohhh I had no idea, I must have missed that. I mean, Coel had all the facts and she was dead set against crashing the planes.
It was the mission where she asks you to delete evidence of her Dreadnought affiliation, if you ever feel like replaying the DLC. Depending on which missions you picked you might not even play it. You have to dig around a bit in some of the files once you find the targets computer; you find out Kaguya used to run with another hacking group and suddenly burned all bridges, ran away with some important files, and nuked their servers iirc. Kaguya might have had a good reason for doing it... but maybe not. It certainly raises red flags.
Ohey, I'll go back and play it, see if I can catch that one. I love digging through the little logfiles and stuff you can find in game, it's a really fun way of telling a story.
7:13 is that HOME - Dream Head?

@@tiredideabox no it's dream head
Slightly disappointing....The ending I mean. This scenario was awesome, just sad there wasn't more of a battle against Kaguya/Default. I expected for them to turn on me and for a battle of hackers to commence. Just felt anti-climatic finishing the mission and then Coel just being like "bye!"
Yeah I would have loved for a showdown between hackers. Would have been a nice extra to the conclusion.
You know, it appears really apparent Kaguya wasn't totally fond of the crash idea himself. If anything, it was d3f4ult fault for not giving a shit about people lives and hacking the plane ahead before Coel and Kaguya would compromise. Also, Kaguya takes measures to keep Coel off the investigation, as seen with one of the CSEC mission. Given this, no one in the team were enough antagonistic to each others to justify a fight. Also, yeah, both outcomes are abrupt. But we're talking about a volontary plane crash hack here. You're up for the Death Row for what you do in Labyrinths, not just jail time. Nobody wants to stick together given one could just spill all out at any moment if they keep being together.
dude if a falling plane with people on it isn't enough for you then idk what is.
There were no chemical weapons on that plane. Kaguya just wanted the government to recognise how weak their security systems were, so that he could sell his own.
If I remember correctly, completing this series of missions the moment you first get the chance to in a new game causes D3f4ult to try and attack you later on as revenge.
im still on the main game. stuck on the ENtech mission by V.
It felt somewhat anticlimatic that Kaguya didn't respond to the attack to his server...
Yeah I get what you mean. I expected to face some pretty nasty resistance. I guess he assumed he'd lost and just abandoned his servers to start again.
Yeah, I know, but it still was kinda disappointing. When Coel tells us to go after Kaguya I thought "Oh shit, this is the person who rearranged my fucking OS with his hacking habilities." I AT LEAST hoped for a challenging trace countdown...
i think after the hack ir should be a counter hack by kaguya with a burner laptop. like default did.
@@Gauchori yeah but I guess after that battle its kinda to rest
