Why the fukk would they give the biggest tallest ogre the bottom tongs. He has to engage them while he's on his knees. Them knees are going to be ruined in no time.

We all started somewhere. The driller really should have communicated with his floodhands better, but this is how things used to be and thats why people would get hurt more often. No need to pull on that chain when your stud roughneck has his body in the way of the chain. The size difference is a pain between the two guys, otherwise the connection could be made higher, and having the stud guy much larger sucks because he has to break on the bottom side of the string. The big guy needs some more training/ mentorship hope he made it through okay because he cant even lift the slips properly, let alone stab or be aware of his body positioning. Glad I had some good mentors who took the time to teach me back then.

This is actually a safe and clean floor. Sure ol boy missed the stab a couple times and they looked like they were being extra cautious which in this job isnt a bad thing

not the worst connection Ive seen or done....lol Sometimes things just dont click and sometimes everything just drops into place. Either way, they kept the floor clean and did a good connection.

I’m only three hitches in and I really don’t think anyone really knows how difficult this job can be when you and your fellow roughneck are totally exhausted. I love this job and teamwork but it really does take a particular kind of person to be able to handle it. Heavy steel and super dangerous environment

I used to roughneck offshore in the '80's. Not exactly the smoothest connection and it wasn't even 5" drill pipe from the looks of it. They're not exactly worms but pretty close.

Я потомственный Нефтяник, мне уже 62 года, а у меня отец пробурил 5200 метров, электробуром, вы хоть знаете о чем я говорю это первый человек в Стране в 1972 году, на 5200 нашли тогда в Туркмении, Иранскую жилу, но вопрос в том, что не роторным бурением, а электро буром, это значит каждый кабель силовой соединить надо было и если он в дифекте, его по любому с глубины достать надо, вот так они и бурили, закислился контакт, и подъём и так без конечно, но он осилил! Вот такие мы Русские!

driller isn't even old enough to shave. a whole generation of goofs now trained by goofs from the last generation. pathetic just like the post hole rigs they work on.

They're drilling with invert and keeping the floor clean so definitely not the worst connection. Few things I could criticize such as not putting something over the mouse hole but I'm guilty of cutting the same corner. All in all a good connection if not the fastest

What's really "worst" abt this is 1 of the roughnecks got hit by the chain, and when they are pushing the tongs, the tongs almost bust their heads when they were bending down.

That was amateur. No direction from the driller and the motor hand can't even hit the pipe in the mousehole. It was the first day for the guy throwing the dummy tong.
