i think saltburn was one of the best movies of the year. people are hating for no reason. yeah it was weird but it wasn’t insane.

the only salt burn criticism I have is they made the upper class look normal at the end and you can tell it was made by a private school person, minus that, I loved the movie, it was the first movie in a while that shocked me .

I think a lot of the Saltburn criticism is valid but so many of the takes I’m seeing are just nitpicky and weird. I saw people annoyed at how unsubtle the music choices are? Like why would you put songs in a movie if you aren’t going to think about how they relate to the plot? I feel like people are going into it desperate to hate it and just picking up on anything and everything to scoff at it. I have my own thoughts on Emerald Fennell but the film bro’s are fully acting like she’s some crazed villain while their favourite male directors are actual criminals 😭
