Kaharoa Kokako Track creek and waterfalls
A video of one of the most spectacular places I visited in NZ. The photos and videos still don't do it justice. This place was just magic!

This was the first day's walk of our week at Bunya Mountains and we decided on the long one. The more scenic one with lookouts. Fortunately the day was fairly mild, and we weren't in a hurry. We had decided to meet at 8am to start, and that turned out to be our standard start to each day. So, from our accommodations in Firefly Drive, the 10 Bush and Beach Walkers headed off bravely in search of...

    Just have to take a moment and like, comment and subscribe because this was SO good of you to share this information. I realize you did not have to take the time to make this video. Very kind of you. My wif and I are looking at buying a very old house with this very problem. We are hoping to do the renovations ourselves. Money is tight and we are in our 60's. You have SAVED us. THANK YOU and just know you are helping FAR more people than those who are letting you know. We are in Texas but I am from the UK, born in London. Thanks again!!!

    I usually inspect the gasoline with my face really close - like an inch away, with a cigarette dangling out of my mouth. Dude, just spray some GOO Gone, it comes in big spray bottles and no risk of your house catching fire from turning on a light switch.

    If possible leave the floor in place and do a floating floor over top of it. A floating floor can easily be removed in the future making the abatement of the Lino underneath easier when it eventually gets done.

    This video is not the easiest or cheapest. You need cheap fabric softener, boiling water, $store broom, and paint scrapers with disposable 4 "razor blades. We bought the scrapers that are about 18 in long. Buy extra blades you will need them.First if you peel the plastic top off the paper backing with glue will be left behind. Cut the top part with box cutter, peel plastic. Then boil water add about 1/4 cup fabric softener. Stir pour hot water on floor and spread with broom so it doesn't get on drywall. Leave for about 15 min. Then scrape in long sections. Once you have an open area and follow it, the rest should come up pretty easy. Make your dinner before hand because you will be too tired to care later. We did a 1600 sq ft house and we are in our 70s. It took time, one room at a time. Good luck hope this saves you money. 🌺🌲🌺

      This method worked great on about 80% of my floor. Thanks. A couple suggestions for anyone trying it. (1) Make sure you have extra blades on hand. I think if my scraper blade have been changed out it would have done even better. (2) In some spots the backing left will be thicker. Try to get that part down before pouring the water.

    Are you wanting to cause the death of people and the destruction of homes or buildings? DO NOT DO THIS. There are many methods and safe solvents available on the market as well as the proper tools...like razor scrappers. In fact, a cheep razor scrapper to take off the top surface 100 times faster than his putty knife the warm water with some dawn in it...flood the floor, let it sit and it will probably come up the same...but it depends on the glue used....like perhaps black asbestos glue would require a solvent. There is no where, no place that you should flood your floor with gasoline! NEVER!!! Please take down this video before it takes someone's life.

    Dont be concerned about "As Best Us" (Asbestos) because the dangers are only realized when the product is in the dry form and made airborne as in sawdust and any process which creates abundant controlled particulates.

  • @granthepburn1587
    @granthepburn1587 Рік тому

    Please tell me this is a piss take. As others have commented, looking at the age of the vinyl that backing contains asbestos and now the floor has a solvent in it that will contaminate anything laid on it.

      A hose....would be useless... because if it ignited, you would not be alive, you're home would be destroyed and possibly anyone else in the house. Warm water with some dish soap would have done it ot better yet...you could have went right over it with the plank.

    Just no! Don't do this! Bad on so many levels! First of all that's probably asbestos flooring and you should at the very least be wearing gloves and a respirator and keeping the flooring wet with water so it doesn't go airborne. Then there's the gas. Need I say more? SMH.
