You might try the Institute of functional medicine. I don’t know about their full curriculum, but I have taken some of their courses. I did their prevention of cognitive decline course.

So what are you supposed to do if you have severe hypertrophy of the ligamentum Flavum that is severely compressing the spinal cord (only a 5mm diameter)? Surgeons are telling me I'm at extremely high risk of becoming paraplegic. I also have EDS (probably what caused the instability to begin with.
That’s a tough one. You are right about the EDS. For me, surgery is always the LAST option. You might consider finding a Dr. near you that has the DRX9000 and ask them to do a low level pull with lower weight than what is usual. It might help with the pain or neurological symptoms even though you will still have the hypertrophy. If it helps you, you will most likely want to do an occasional maintenance treatment after the initial treatment protocol is complete. Good luck.
@@doctorcurrie , thank you. They just did a CT scan today and apparently it's called OPLL (ossification of the longitudinal ligament). Doesn't sound like they would be able to stretch it. My spinal cord is compressed to 5mm diameter. They are making it sound like even a strong sneeze could make me a paraplegic due to the severity. Doesn't look like I'm going to escape surgery. 🥺

This gets into a lot of weeds. It sounds like you need to either work with me or another functional medicine doctor. It can be done, but it’s very difficult to do on your own, especially without running appropriate labs. If you’re not testing, you’re guessing.
