Pixel Does... is a channel dedicated to following the antics and interests of the host, Pixel. Topics range from OneWheel, mountain biking, virtual reality, gaming, technology, 3D modeling, kite surfing, traveling, and pretty much anything fun that you can put on camera. This is one way to hack the blueprints in order to get DMX fixtures working in the editor without being in Play/PIE.

How to set up LTC audio into Unreal and use it with Take Recorder. One thing to note I did not say in the video is that Unreal will use whatever you have set as your default audio device. Make sure this is your line in or whatever you are using or it will not work.

Well, it's a bit of a weird one but I still found it so helpful when I wasn't as comfortable with python scripting. It is very useful when you have external data like camera tracking and you want to import it... You can do all of this with python as well.

Yeah, some of the properties changed what type they were. I think most default to doubles now.

On protocol received is ancient... Use OnFixturePatchReceived now.

Hi @feeding_wolves have you managed to get timecode from tentacle sync e into unreal engine working? I am facing the same issues... UE5 picks it up from the live link app, but then goes offline and does not track the face...

Great tutorial! I got everything working perfectly except for rotating gobo's. The gobo's are rotating in play-mode. Is it just me? Or do I need to add some activator to get that working in edit mode?

Thank you, appreciate the video, Used it to get my front lights into unreal, having one issue using it with ndisplay, I would like Ndisplay to send out the dmx but have not been able to get it to, I feel like its not able to hit the play button in the pixel mapper when it runs, Basically I think I am just missing the blueprint to make it start outputting the dmx. do you have any in-site in what I need to do?

God, thank you so much for mentioning using Calibrated RGBW, I've dabbled in DMX in 4.25 before on a Skypanel but I couldn't get it to display the right colors this changes everything. One more thing to point out: Remember to activate the LSB mode if you're using 16 bit color. Been trying to map tracker data to the light without LSB enabled and I had 0, 255 snapping behavior but if the tracker's float value was between 0 and 1 only then the light would dim correctly. I found this by complete accident trying to understand why I'm not getting the right values to the light. Seems like it also offsets my fixture by one channel if not enabled.
The Remote Control API is one of the best improvements for UE... even more than the render engine :P
You stated "you'll get access to these remote presents right here" but I have both plugins enabled but I don't see the remote presets

1:58 - What exactly did you drag and drop from your file explorer into the content browser?
A GDTF file you can find them on gdtf share, and they basically are the lights channels, like a dimmer for instance. Instead of this you can create your own channels in unreal enginge.
1:18 - The Monitor tab is not showing up. I tried the windows menu in the menu bar. Nothing there.
0:48 - That specific Game Instance class is not available on the dropdown list. Do you create it inside your content browser as a custom BP class with a specific base class?
