In 1984, it was impossible to avoid the German Synthesis of Alphaville. The group embraced the coverings of the idol magazines and the walls of fans of all ages, and hits such as "Sounds Like A Melody", "Big In Japan" and, above all, "Forever Young" owned both dance floors and toplists throughout Europe. But few knew that the gang behind the ballad ballad, basically was a political collective or that the song was not even a ballad from the beginning?

Marian, you should be blissful to know that 'Forever Young' has aptly transcended time and generations after generations are going to remember this song. I do understand what you meant though regarding feeling overwhelmed with responsibility. wow. Martha or Terri. Tough choice. Both are fantastic.
Easy choice for that song. Did you listen to Martha’s voice sing the lyric “Take my breath away?” Martha couldn’t stretch it out at all like Terri did in her nice smooth vocal singing. Martha’s voice is too scratchy for that song.

They were not big in Japan and not forever young, but it still sounds like a melody. ;-) Looking back, that was a genius move by their annoying publisher. The demo version could have become a huge underground cult track in gothic/indie discos, but the final version became a global hit.
