The back ( inside) of the mouthpiece is extremely rough (10:17). The result is a lot of air loss. I sanded it completely smooth and then polished it. The improvement is noticeable in a quicker response and less fatigue.

I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner but need to clean my reedplates... It's still safe to rinse the reedplates in a bowl of water? There wont be any damage to the valves? Thanks

Hace poco lo descubrí por You Tube y es indudablemente muy bueno en la armónica. Yo nunca salí del bajo y la guitarra, aunque debo admitir que con escucharlo a usted, y a algunos otros, me dieron ánimos para agregar un instrumento de viento a mi pequeño salón de música, así que me compré unas armónicas diatónicas con las que comencé y por fin hoy adquirí una armónica cromática. Obviamente aprender me llevará mucho tiempo (... y qué digo mucho tiempo, mejor si digo "muchísimo tiempo"). Saludos, maestro, desde Chaco, provincia de mi Argentina.

Sve ove hromatske su vrhunske dok su nove.Ja imam tri super chromonike 270 ali posle dve godine nisu ni blizu onom nivou kvaliteta zvuka iako ih nisam koristio intenzivno.Brzo se razstimaju a i ventili su im problematicni.Ja njih mogu koristiti a da daju korektan zvuk najduze manje od godinu dana.Cetvrtaste resetke su potpuno neprakticno uradjene livenjem metala sa izuzetno ostrim ivicama koje ostecuju krajeve usta i deo obraza.To je kod sviraca koji sviraju tehnikom blokade jezikom gde je harmonika mnogo dublje u ustima.Ne svira se tom tehnikom usnama nego celim ustima i jezikom.Ostre ivice doprinose i pored pranja i higijene usta i jezika, skidanju naslaga jezika na resetku i onda dalje u unutrasnjost na trske sto dovodi do njihove znatne blokade u sviranju.Zavrtnji koji drze resetku pricvrscenu za drveno telo harmonike su potpuno neodgovatajuci.Imaju isuvise sitne navoje kao za metal.Oni se jednostavno rasklimaju i ne drze dobro resetku koja onda propusta vazduh i harmonika skoro da ne moze svirati.Kada se svira na jedan ton kao sto to vecina vrhunskih umetnika radi kondenzacija je mala pa se ventili pogotovo sa unutrasnje strane manje lepe za plocu.Kod sviranja u dvoglasu ,sa akordima i istovremenim sviranjem ritmike i basova, duva se dosta vise rupa od jedne.Ja duvam u melodiji od jedne do cetiri pet rupa odjednom.Kondezacija je ogromna pogotovu u uslovima sviranja u prirodi tj. na otvorenom gde je tempetstura dosta niza od temperature pluca i onda dolazi da se ventili zalepe za plocu i ne otvaraju i sprecavaju dobijanje tona delimicno ili potpuno.Medjutim izgleda da proizvodjaci nemaju dovoljno informacija jer se oslanjaju na iskustva samo sviraca na jedan ton sto je pogresno.

Dear oven thank you so much for your extremely valuable rare , scientific analysis of 270 chromanica s,,,,I recently purchased a second hand 270 chromanica original one not the deluxe,,,and dismantled mouth plates for cleaning,,,my goodness,,,, comb is almost damaged near the mouth plate fixing nails and slider spring,,, somehow with the help of some glue and and great effort I managed to get it fixed,,,but I'm sure this is the last chance that I have to clean it removing mouth plate,,,,so please help me to get this solved,,,is there an economical plastic or metal comb to be purchased in market to replace this deteriorated comb,,,,if so will I have to drill new holes in the Reed plate,,,,also will I be able to remove present wooden comb from the Reed plates,,,removing rivets,,,,and also where to find new screws for fixing new comb to Reed plates,,,,, please help

Wow.. That means even the Silver Concerto isn't completely airtight from factory? I've heard that the only Chromatics which are airtight from factory are the Meisterklasse and the Seydel Saxony/Synphony...
