Great insights Hollo Wolf! Now I've not been playing VF long but it didn't take too long for me to see just how interesting and elegant the combat system is. You've put that into words with your anecdote about learning Akira far better than I could sir. I think the best we can hope for (and I'm sure that the developers of the respective games will agree here) is that a good, strong sequel to VF will push Tekken to up it's game. There's room in the world for both. I'm not a huge fan of Tekken 8 but I don't hate it, and I can pick it up and have fun. I think I was being a hyperbolic with my distaste for the game, cause it ain't that bad, it's just not quite what I wanted for the series moving forwards from Tekken 7.
