I have 4 main reasons for this channel. 1) So my children can relive the memories of me working in my shop whenever they want. I wish I had possibility decades ago with my father and grandfather. 2) If I am no longer able to work in my shop I can relive these memories. 3) Inspire creative ideas for everyone. 4) I genuinely like making videos.
What my channel is not. 1) Instruction videos. There are plenty to go around. 2) A channel to make money. I have 4 jobs. I don't need another. 3) A channel to cater to your needs or wants. I'm just having fun and don't take this seriously. If I don't meet your expectations... well... I've been married for 25 years so I'm used to it.

Eiffel Tower Scroll Saw Project
I've had this pattern for over 15 years and finally felt confident enough to work on it. Took over 2 months but I don't know how many hours it took to cut it out. This was pretty difficult with odd angels, but I did the best I could with what I had.

Sweetgum Seed Pod Pen
Переглядів 293 місяці тому
Notes about this pen: I used the TACBLACK rollerball kit from Exotic Blanks. I baked the seed pods before casting at 175 degrees F for 60 minutes. I poured the resin when the temp reached 98 degrees F. I used Abranet sanding mesh 120 to 400 grit and up to 15000 with micro mesh sanding pads. I ended up redoing the finish because I didn't like how it turned out the first time so there is over 2 h...
341st Patch - Lighted Sign

I recorded the moon setting the morning I started editing this video. The sign is for a retirement gift requested by a good friend. I think it turned out great. It feels good to be back in the shop after a much needed break. #army #armypatch #lightedsign #retirementgift #militaryintellence #scrollsaw #woodworking

Coffee Bean Casting For A Pen

This video is a start to finish casting coffee bean for a pen. I've been turning pens for over 7 years but never thought to make a video. When I had the idea to make a pen from coffee beans I knew that would be a good one to try. The pen came out great. Very happy with it. #penturning #coffeebean

Fantastic craftsmanship. Thanks for the creative process.

Great piece and good video!
Where’s the coffee table video?
Didn't do a video on the coffee table(s) or loft beds. Felt like i needed to focus strictly on the project and not have to think about the recording process. Going to do a portfolio online but that is a project for a later date.
Lol more I watch the more I want the scroll saw😂
nice, Wish i had room for a scroll saw in my garage.
Thank you for checking out my channel. The scroll saw was my first attempt at woodworking and it just fit my style. Picking up supplies tomorrow and looking forward to starting on the dispenser next week.
@@greghoffman6417 yeah of course! Keep it up. I’ll check out more vids once I get a chance. Been crazy busy.
That is incredible. You have such talent, you should do lessons on YT. I love the box style light too, but the scroll is so detailed and beautiful.
Love it!!
I like your scroll saw your using! Is it homemade and can I get a look at it?
Here is the link for the saw I have. www.bushtonmanufacturing.com/WebsitePages/The-Hawk-Scroll-Saw.html
Good job 👍🏻
Thank you. I appreciate the comment.
OMG!, amazing work!!!
Приятно выглядит, проект интересный был. Спасибо!
Спасибо за видео, это было интересно посмотреть!

Man, you pick the best music Greg! 🤩
What kinda wood did you use and how thick
This was made from 1/2" birch ply.
wow talk about fast, really could see much because it moving to fast, boohoo
Hi, que programa usas para tener el patrón de ese tamaño de papel, te agradecería me lo hagas saber. Muchas gracias.
I use Microsoft Paint to enlarge the pattern to the size I want.
Bravo!
Awesome
So cool
Looks very good. I'd like to see a how to video of how you make the lighted frame box. It's a good design
Haven't thought about doing an instructional video but I'll work on doing one. I appreciate the suggestion.
@@greghoffman6417 that would be awesome!
Very nice work. What kind of scroll saw are you using?
It is an RBI Hawk 226 vs. Good saw. Needed the 26" for a lot of the signs I'm doing.
It Is meant to live on
I love this!!!!
Im in the process of purchasing a scroll saw. How long did it take, to get to that level ?.
Won't take long if you are consistent. Maybe 6 months to a year. Enjoy the journey.
@@greghoffman6417 Thanks.
Great job! Looks excellent
Can u post the google link of the coffee cup o here? Thanks alot
That looks awesome. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
What size blade are you using?
I used #3 on this one. Recommended to use #2 but I generally use +1 over recommended. No reason for it.
I would like to know what brand of scroll saw you are using and may I know the specs of the machine? Thank you very very much.
It is the RBI Hawk VS 226. Here is a link to their page. www.rbiwoodtools.com/WebsitePages/The-Hawk-Scroll-Saw.html
Hello what is best blade for cutting acrylic or pixel glass? You ate doing great work
Thank you. For these I used #5 skip tooth. Doesn't really matter much for straight cuts. Only concern is it might melt back together. Can just cut through it again if that happens.
Awesome work..
That is gorgeous. May I ask you where did you find the dinosaur template?
Thank you. I'm sorry I don't remember any specific details on where I got the pattern.
That is Awesome
I notice you stain your wood, how good does the glue stick
Never had a problem so far. Maybe over time it won't hold up as well but still doing well after 11 months.
@@greghoffman6417 good i was wanting to try it
That makes me want coffee
Thank you Greg! It was a wonderful gift and made our wedding table so beautiful! Amazing work! You are an amazing friend.
Where did you get the file folders for your project.

Beautifulllllll 👍👍👍👍
Very Great Work!!
Hace un trabajo muy bonito, pero poner la cámara a toda velocidad no tiene sentido. Produce un mareo horrible.
Impressive work
What a hard Work 👍🏻
Very nice
