Bobcat CT2540 35 hour update

My local Bobcat dealer could not find me cab model under 55 hp, so i had to drive 2 1/2 hours away and bought the CK 3510 Kioti (same tractor with a stronger loader). So warranty and repair service are a real pain going that far away. I’d still rather have the bobcat, if I could ever find one in my area.
What kind of radio did you get, and who installed it (Bobcat or stereo shop?)?
A Sony Installed it myself
How has this toro been holding up?
Try watching the video. He covered pretty much everything - engine, wheels, seating, battery, etc.. :-)
Any issues with the bobtach? Mine has been replaced twice and finally refabricated to fit skid steer attachments. I also have a CT2540
Don't know why, but the comments on your 46 hour update are turned off. Another main reason I chose a tractor over a skidsteer is because if you are working alone and have the boom raised with a load, you can't or shouldn't get out of the cab. If it has a front door, there's no way unless you have a mono-boom JCB with side cab door.
Thank you sir for posting, I was one asking about this.
Well the bobcat broke again 😂 think it’s the loader valve leaking this time Oil pours out Ugh...
@@jcad2197 sorry brother I know it's frustrating.....
Any videos on your operating?? Wanting to hear cab noise, thanks. Also note that hydro is fixed do you feel like it still needs a lower range?? Thank you.
Yep I’ll try to get one tomorrow of it running. And 90% of the time the low range is adequate but a sub low would be nice for when your in sticky ground and trying to push a load etc
@@jcad2197 thanks for getting back with me. If you can get a video out I will greatly appreciate it. I’m looking at a cab in the 2000 series or 5000 series. Happy New Year sir!!!
Greatly appreciate your videos, very informative. I purchased a CT5555 today. One of the first things I noticed is the lack of a left side arm rest. Did yours come with it, or is it after market? The dealer said there isn't one available.
Mine has arm rests on both sides.. weird that they wouldn’t offer it on yours..
Do you hear the whine coming from the hydro?? The Kubota LX cab model is loud inside, thanks.
Very little whine unless under a heavy load
Thanks for your review. I'm 90% sure that is the one for me.
Overall been a good tractor. Has a hydro leak at the moment but dealer is taking care of it
@@jcad2197 Thank you for responding! Can you elaborate? I'm like 2 hours away from dealer. For them to come to me is a $300+ ordeal. Also how does the PTO work with pedal linked throttle? Or does it turn off with PTO engaged?
Do you feel like the 23.5 Kawasaki is enough power for the 60inch deck? I am looking at the same exact model. Thanks!
Overall yes... mostly st Augustine here. A 26 would be nice but this kawi has a good torque band and I’ve yet to stop the motor in heavy grass.. also starts easier than the toro brand engine ...
What does one of these set a guy back?
Paid 36k for mine with attachments
Hi there, Thanks for putting out such calm and enjoyable video to watch. I hope you're the guy that can answer my question that most dealers or farmers could not as they don't have a hands-on experience with this particular tractor working it out in the field. I have about 2.5 acers of compact soil with plenty of rocks, shales with 10-20 degrees of slope (most of it on the lower end of the spectrum) that I'm trying to break up with a single shank ripper followed by a single bottom plow to turn it over. Ripper and plow rating fit a 25-40. I have all the time in the world to do it but I really would love to hear your absolute honest opinion whether or not you think this tractor (with spaced out wheels) can do the job with a lot of care and patience or will it struggle a bit or just completely bog down? This is again, a one time type of application but I don't wanna hire someone else to do it or buy a bigger tractor knowing that something similar to this size and range of hp can hack it. I appreciate you taking to the to share your thoughts and everything bit of info will help out greatly!
Does your 4WD light illuminate when engaged near the “linked pedal” light?
Is there a 12v plug-in in the cab?
My 2540 has one on the left side behind the seat.
Good overview of the Bobcat
I Love my CT2025 ,
What is it like on fuel consumption or how many hours on a tank if you don't mind sharing?
@@narbdagger7170 To be honest am not sure ,I believe it has a 7 gallon tank and seems to be great on fuel ,It uses less than my old 1979 Yanmar 1500
There's a connector behind the seat, unplug it and put a jumper across the terminals That will solve the inconvenience of always having to set the parking brake when you get off! Be careful around running implements. Nice toy
Appreciate the tip!
I’m purchasing a CT2035 this week. I can’t wait to get it home! I have a lot of work to do!
You’ll like it.. mines been a real workhorse so far..
Great videos. I have the same tractor and the same grapple. Looks like I’m actually near you also. Btw in the first video you mentioned there wasn’t a 12v outlet but it’s actually on the left side of the seat kinda beneath it. It took me forever to find it. I also had a leak on my third function lol did you buy from Bobcat of Houston in Jersey Village also?
Bought from the pearland location but jersey village installed the third function kit.. what other attachments have you bought ? Thanks for the 12v location !
@@jcad2197 I’ve got the pallet forks and backhoe. I just got my 15% off coupon so I’m looking at other implements.
@@al4342 I just got mine today.. prob stop at the jersey village store this week to see what else to buy.. thinking the ballast box
I agree! If I can’t override the safety features I’ll get rid of my 🚜. In low range mine won’t spin the tires when I have good traction, I’m ok with that.
What was the price tag
36k
Need some Razor videos
I have a pto woodchipper that i use with my ct1025. Bobcat doesn't even make a 3pt pto chipper, i guess bc of liability reasons, who knows. With that said there is no rear pto override switch (John Deere and Kubota both have one) to use the chipper with no one sitting on the seat. The easiest way to get around this is to put something heavy on the seat and lean it against the back rest, and the machine won't turn off 😀
I bought one today to use for the winter snowblowing. I will sell it come summer. Glad to hear it isn't giving you any problems. Comparing it to a BX isn't very fair to kubota.
Agreed lol! I test drove a Grand L but the price plus lack of included features and the level of electronics steered me away.
Great update. Thanks!
Welcome to the Bobcat family. Looking forward to seeing that beast in action.
