Still rolling with my 1987 Maytag top loader. Bought for $100, 8 years ago with matching dryer. I did replace the damper pads, otherwise nothing. They were made to last!

I bought a Speed Queen for home. No nonsense BS or Smart crap on the control panel. Made in WISCONSIN. I will not consider any other brand EVER AGAIN. No lid lock is the best. Lid lock is BS. My clothing is clean!

I have 6 in family from 2 to 40. Construction clothes, nursing scrubs, kids clothes, blankets pillows, shoes, ect.. 25 loads a weeks and it doesn't walk like my old one, and is super quiet. Ridiculously better, but almost 2x the price. Worth it? Yesssss! Helll yeessss! And works great on a generator when power is out!

Speed Queen washer and dryers only for me …. For once in my life I chose function over form , and I am happy … I wish they made them cuter though

I decided to get a new washer last fall. I was sick of dealing with a “high efficiency “ washer with the impeller. Not an efficient or an effective machine. Went to a local appliance store and bought a Speed Queen TC5. I love it!!

Yes, the TC5 is the best top loading washer: (1) the drum is fixed and the agitator moves, which provides a more aggressive wash and rinse cycle than every other Speed Queen washer where the agitator is fastened to the spin basket (2) it has a Deep Fill option, so the tub actually fills with water to about 95% capacity (v. about 70% or less max for all three TR models) (3) it has a 15-year warranty on the transmission, and (4) it has a lifetime warranty on both the inner and outer drums. The one downside is the TC5 uses ONLY cold water for the RINSE cycle (i.e., you can't select warm water for the rinse cycle like you can on the TR7). Just one correction to your video: the motor is 1/2 horsepower, not 1 hp. But that is still plenty of power.

I'm currently in the blueprint stage of design, for a 1 bedroom home to be built inside my metal garage building and have been looking at and watching video's on new appliances. I've decided to get Speed Queens and am very happy that you have them available. I am in NW Denton County (Texas) bout 30 miles from the Texas / Oklahoma border. Please Do not buy the Maytag 4505 HE washer or dryer. Total Junk. I am stuck but you do not need to be. Did you mention the Speed Queen Model? I do not live in OK, but I gotta get a different washer. Greedy Corporate America decided we all needed to buy a new washer every 5-10 years instead of every 25 yrs and also add to the Land Fill problems.... so much for everyone caring about the Environment. They only care to ban plastic straws or plastic bags to leave Walmart- where almost every item has a plastic container. Control the average joe trying to LIVE in this Great Reset of "change" while the elitists fly around the world in private jets screaming about saving the earth and lowering the population. World's gone wackjob crazy.

If they fail within their warranty period SQ is obligated to repair or even replace. I’ve been washing with Speed Queen for over 30 years now. My current machine is almost 18 years old and I have spent money to replace the hot water solenoid, a new drain hose and new brakes over the past couple of years. It’s cost me close to $700, but I don’t mind. Most of the washers out there are rubbish. I like the features and performance of my SQ and will keep it going for as long as possible, even if it costs another grand. Second hand Speed Queen top loaders retail for $1000.00, because they are the only traditional top loader on the market. A lot of consumers are not happy with modern washing machines for various reasons.

Nice washing machine east of the mississippi. Anywhere water is scarce, this machine is a massive hog for it. My $500 Maytag uses 1/3 the water and never a issue with results. As for the dryer, ANY USA electric dryer can run for 50 years with handy guy replaceable parts.

My father is a Vietnam veteran and he is always having to replace his washer and dryer and I have done the research and I know speed Queens are the best ones. I was wondering if you guys could help my dad in any way possible him being a Vietnam veteran? Please sir
