On June the 10th 2023 I signed up to do the RBLR 1000 . Ride 1000 miles in 24 hours to raise money for The Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal. I then had to decide which bike to use... so I decided to use my KTM 1290R SuperDuke Gen 3 , some people said I was Crazy, some said I was Stupid but hey we are all little crazy at times 🤪 It would be a challenge as the furthest I had ridden, was around ...
Riders are so scared of speeding and the police in England, I feel sorry for you.

I’ve still got my 2020 G3(from new) - it is a gentleman when in peak hr traffic and an animal on the open road and twisties. I love it. I hope KTM can still support them and pull through their financial difficulties.

@@steveguest8028 thanks very much I was very lucky and found it on eBay slightly cheaper than buying direct from Austin Racing and no waiting for delivery , I know when I looked there was a 4week wait at the time.🏍️💨💨💨👍🏻

I m now on my 9th ktm, got my first ktm 125 lc crosser at 15 I went right through the ktm crosser range I just love that classy European build quality my ktm crossers always neaded less rebuilds than the jap bikes. I have a 990 sdr now on a 2013 I adore it, but my heads been turned by the 1290, I m trying to decide now on which gen to get, can any one recommend which gen, their all mouthwatering, so many clean low mileage ones out there.???

Nice little win there with the helmet. Congrats Stacey. Regarding the motovlog set up it’s never ending lol. There’s always some other angle, camera, mic setup you’re gonna play with. I got stupidly OTT with it at one point with trying to use 3 cameras. One being a 360. Went back to basics with one camera occasionally two and less stress And hassle when editing lol. 😊

I’ve got an MT07 and GSXR 600 had them for a few years and always been looking at a Tuono V4 and SDR. A little weary of reliability and cost to maintain. Plus I live in London so it’s overkill for our shitty roads! The smart thing to do would be keep my little MT07 😅

Gutted she dropped the bike. But it happens to everyone. I still cant breathe with laughing at when Jay dropped his bike. Same for Jay when he passed me trying to pick my bike on my own. Funny enough on the way home from Matlock. He was laughing like **** rather than help.

Great video. I'm glad you both managed to get out together. It's great you share an interest. Seat time on the bike is all Stacey needs. Doing great. When we was all brand new, we were much younger with no fear. Less clowns in cars on the roads. Less cameras I know what you mean about riding in your mirrors. I always have to do it for my wife Jay. 40p down here for a wee. Thats the same place we parked when we all went to Matlock. Loved going there on a Friday night for tea in mid 2000s.

@thebikerguysofficial funny story about my 2 days at Oulton. Day one, it was pissing down till 1pm. Went out in the fast group in shit weather on the bike for the first time. Since I come off at the same track. Also that I repaired Did 3 sessions were OK. Day 2, the weather was dry and only 8 degrees. I did 6 of the 7 sessions and sometimes only 3 laps due to red flags. Then worried about cold tyres, etc. I got fucking smoked on that RS. It's topping out at 130mph. There were 2 world endurance race teams there. A guy on a real moto GP 12 bike. A 17 year old on a 40k race bike. It was sole destroying for me.

Yes, it's thousands when you add it up, mate. Knocks me sick. 600 quid just for the 3 track places. 2 nights accommodation. Plus, Mike's fee for the day. Fuel in the van and bike. Tyres. Got caught speeding on the way up. 73 in a 60. Wankers. Lucky for you. I now have a new second track bike that you can use. I'm just spending a bit of money on it to get it, mint. . Going to rent it out eventually. Just to people I know. But it's free to our Stacey. There are no decent tracks here. The nearest one is brands, and that's 5 hours away
If that KTM is leaking… get rid of it and get a proper bike!!!! Also just to add the enduro batteries are good but consider running the Gopro from a battery bank. Done it a few times.

@@thebikerguysofficial I’m starting to see and hear more bad things about GoPro. I’ve never really had an issue, now I’m tempting fate. I got the 12 a few months back. I now have an 8,10 and now 12. I was toying with the insta ace pro instead of the 12 but stayed with what I know. It can get real stupid and OTT when amassing cameras for different angles and stuff. Especially when trying to sequence scenes for edit 😩😩😩lol

@@thebikerguysofficial tell Me about it lol. I had the insta360 one rs. Great camera and good 360 footage but I found editing it and then editing it into MP4 was a right royal pain so sold it. Editing REALLY isn’t my forte nor do I enjoy it lol.

I have a gen 2 super Duke 1290 r. Should I upgrade to the gen4?
Hi buddy that’s a difficult one, the Gen 2 I have never ridden it would be good for a test ride on the Gen 4 and see if you like the difference, as there were a lot of changes between the 2 and 3 and then they have improved it again for the 4.
