Many people have had their lives changed by meeting with Jesus Christ. The man in this event was very troubled and the transformation that took place was startling. Take the journey with his disciples across the Sea of Galilee to meet a man so fierce he couldn't even be chained down. By the end of the meeting the situation couldn't have been more different.

The gospels record that Jesus immediately after being baptised by John in the river Jordan was alone in the wilderness and tempted by Satan. The authority Jesus used to defeat these attacks came from the written word of God in the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy. That shows us the perfect example of how to face off temptation in any form, know what God has said.

Abram was a man called by God to leave his home, his parents and his relatives. Initially this wasn't too straightforward as family ties got in the way. But eventually God had Abram's undivided attention and made promises to him that would eventually be fulfilled in God's own Son Jesus Christ.
