Winching a tree off my trail, FAIL. Part 1
Too ashamed to show the failure I guess. Why not just delete the video?
This is work in progress, your birth was a failure.
Usually when they throw a conrod it's grabbed on the crankshaft Meaning it no longer goes up n down bore but tries to rotate with crank That's why it broke then punched out the side
Check out the Porosity on the inside of the rod where it broke. There’s more air pockets than metal
A cliffhanger!
I thought my pizza was better, but I did not want to hurt my Mom's feelings.
@@timberray9572 how was using pie crust? sounds like it would be kind of dry
@@samo5566 The pie crust was not very good for pizza as it was to crumbly, tasted good though. I prefer using Naan bread as a easy and fast crust.
@@timberray9572 ooooo that sounds really good, i think i know what im having for dinner tomorrow
should be pretty easy to find a vertical shaft five hp engine. there aint no fixing that one. get it off there and see what shaft size the pump is and maybe you ll run into a cheap one off a lawn mower or at princess or something.
I'm looking for one right now on facebook marketplace, this is the first issue I have ever had with a Briggs.
@@timberray9572 well there was oil in it so not much more you could do about it. Sometimes they just go bang.
The engine was a nine horse which will be a little tougher to find, but I will keep my eyes open.
I loved my fs91r but I can't hold a 15 pound trimmer very long due to arthritis
The four strokes are a lot nicer to run for extended periods for sure.
@@timberray9572 yeah I bought a Husqvarna 525l and that thing is a feather weight. Has decent power too and virtually no vibration. Smoothest trimmer I've ever had.
I have been lugging an MS460 around for years now. I only saw about 20 cord of firewood for several homes here on the farm plus the occasional tree removal since I got out of logging years ago. It definitely gets tiresome when limbing with it, I have smaller saws I just do not always feel like swapping saws back and forth and besides it makes up for it in the cut when you open up that horsepower.
I am a one saw Man myself, I am not sure if you have tried the Stihl light bar but it does make the saw feel a little more nimble. I have a 20inch light on my MS460 and I love that combo.
@@timberray9572 I haven't tried a light bar yet. I often tell myself that I am going to, but I never get around to it. Maybe this year since I will be turning 50.
You can never have too many trailers
I am actually thinking of getting rid of one of the big trailers, but then again I really don't have a lot of money tied up in them so I will probably keep them all.
Somehow this needs to be made as a political campaign ad.
As a professional driver I have seen a drastic spike in homeless people here in Winnipeg, I actually carry a Naloxone kit in my truck because I believe in giving people a second chance.
@@timberray9572 It's nice to see someone else on this rock that's human. I have the same philosophy/ideology as well - don't know why or how - must be from being around my good grandmother RIP 🌿✝️🕊️ Unfortunately there have been times where I've given 2nd and 3rd chances for people I have known. So after that third time? And they burn me again? It's done. I don't have the time & money to waste with people strung-out-on-stupid (not just drugs btw... gambling habits all the way to destructive gossip). Anyways God Bless you for your good heart. Best regards from Fresno California - Nick
Scary and true...
Looks tasty as hell❤
It was pretty good.
Hello sir, good video!
Thanks for the visit
What year X2 is that and what plow did you get for it? Been looking for a plow for my 2008 X2 500 and there aren't many options that fit that model.
Mine is a 07, when I bought it secondhand it came with the factory 60inch plow you see in the video. Good luck to you.
What was the secrets lol
Have you ever tried a 35deg top angle? Also rounding off the raker makes a big difference.
I wonder what would have happened if you had applied the blow torch to the smoke coming out. I wonder if it would have ignited.
I'm trying not to start a forest fire, but somehow I don't think the smoke would ignite.
@@timberray9572 I seriously doubt that you would be able to start a forest fire. it would only be flames right at the top of the chimney.
За что протестуют то?
These were Jewish people protesting the increasing antisemitism they are facing in Canada.

That looks so good. Thanks for the vid. Keep it up!
Posting here first for all the "OMG why did you not save that poor bird" comments
Come not between the Nazgul and his prey...
I have the same weed Wacker as well and I think you might have just told me what is wrong with it ,it has been crapping out when it gets to about a half tank
I hope you can fix your weed whacker, I bought a 131 brand new and I end up using this one a lot more.
I have the same mower
Now that’s a pronon I could use. Too funny. Is that an Irish name Mr J Ass? 😆🥰
your pm is a wacko
You are correct Sir.
Nice explanation of what you are doing. What a waste of time!
Sorry that your a retard and need explanations for everything.
Fox!!!
I bought a brand new Husky one time and it didn't even run. I returned it and bought a 54 year old Super XL that runs like new
Husky hasn't built a decent saw in a long time now, and its the same with Stihl.
Is this some kind of Canadian joke eh? What a hoser
How dare you call my pronoun a joke.
same trick works with a credit card. pretty cool though anyways
Good to know!
I'll admit that having a motor that can be run both directions is great so you always have the bur to the inside of the cutter. But having it throw sparks away from you is more important for grinding dust collection! We remove the undesirable bur on the back side when we clean the chains after sharpening! Better for your health and better overall product, a modern hydrolic clamping sharpener is so much faster! Years ago i started with this same model BF chain sharpener and loved it till i wore it out and tried the first modern sharpener, i wouldnt go back if you paid me. Imo, keep up the great content. 👍
My content ain't that good, but thanks. I use my Stihl grinder more than the Foley nowadays, I don't worry about the tiny burr it leaves on the one side of the cutters because they disappear as soon as you start cutting.
Blows me away when guys who take a physical job want to sit in the truck so they aren’t too tired to go to the gym after work! 🫣🤔
I have worked with bodybuilders in the past and I always offer them a free workout membership, I ask them to go tree cutting with me and they will get all the exercise they could ever want, so far no one has taken this opportunity of a lifetime.
That’s a nice little trailer , perfect for a 4 wheeler
I already have two other trailers for my ATV, but they both have a 4x6ft box and with the tires on each side they are to wide for the trails. Also this new trailer has suspension so I should be able to cruise at least around 25 to 30mph, my other trailers you don't want to go past 15mph.
@@timberray9572 , I reckon it’s like having a bouncing ball behind ya , boing boing boing 😳👍🏻
This new generation worries the hell out of me, I hod carried through the summers when I was a kid . Ground level I could keep four layers going , good ole days
I remember soon after my eight birthday my playtime was over and any free time I had I spent working on my Dads cattle ranch, I wouldn't change a thing.
The real crime here is not finishing a jar of peanut butter in 4+ years.
Agreed.
wheres this stump i need to lick it
You know, it was totally still edible, right
You're not disallowed from licking it off the stump
I wouldn't wanna poison the squirrels.
They are all at the IMAX Theatre.
Aah, that's where all the snobs are haha
You condem the saw without say why
I thought I was very clear, the new saws have too many electronics on them and when they fail you have to go back to the dealer to reset or fix them. I prefer to wrench on my own saws.
Wife and I love this vid!!!!!!!!!!1!
I can't wait to see what the game camera picks up.
I approve this message 🇨🇦🇺🇸👍🏻
I own a few Stihl saws, the 026 I purchased new in February of '91. The last 3 saws I purchased, a 661 and 261 are non Mtronic models. Both are running fine and other than the flip caps have given me no issues. The 201tc on the other hand has been a disappointment. One thing after another one. Husqvarna are just as bad if not worse. So, treasure those old relics for as long as possible. MAGA strong!
Both my 260 and 460 have been bulletproof, just regular maintenance like cleaning the air filter and occasionally changing the sparkplug and fuel filter.
Looks good Ray
Thanks.
Lol
Even the gorilla gets it, haha.
@@timberray9572 🤣
I don't always agree with your opinions on different saw topics but this time I whole heartedly agree with you and then some. Most of the last saws built before m-tronic or autotune took over when it comes to performance and long lasting durability regardless of brand are pretty hard to beat, Husqvarna 300 and yes reaching back 200 series along with their red cousins Jonsered 2100 and 600 series. Stihl "0" series saw's are the benchmark of great Stihl saws and their slightly upgraded newer MS saws, plain and simple reliable is the word and yes almost anyone can repair them. Biggest sore spot for me on the 500i is the insane retail price then after that is it's long list of build quality issues that everyone turns a blind eye to but is already well known, yes Stihl has done a great job of marketing hoopla of their new saws. I have a sampling of many before mentioned vintage or "classic" brands and models, I won't be getting rid of them anytime soon lol!
I choose reliability over being "cool".
I’m seeing a lot of people that share your opinion. I jumped on the 500 band bandwagon and have been putting cash away to buy one this summer. I convinced myself I needed one but after watching many videos I’ve decided to stick with my 461. I’m not a logger, just cut firewood and 461 does just fine. Thank you for saving me 1600 bucks.
From what I hear the 461 was a good upgrade from the 460, so you have one of the last good saws that Stihl made.
I thought you drink some brewskis to up your game in canada. Eh?
I used to, been sober a long time now and I really don't miss it.
Tell it like it is brother 👍🏻

I never did pack a saw tool , always afraid of getting jabbed in the are’s or legs 😂
I have stabbed myself before with an old school scrench, but I do have to have a tool with me for those times the chain jumps off the rails.
@@timberray9572 , I gotcha 👍🏻
That’s pretty cool 👍🏻
The plan is to paint it black and then mount it on my white firewood shed, it should make the lettering pop real good.
