Really hope we get a remaster of the third game!
if nothing else, this game had impeccable atmosphere and the soundtrack is an absolute classic
The soundtrack is so memorable
I cannot get enough of this game. As a kid, I used to play it all the time on my uncle's PS2 before I got my own copy for the Gamecube. As an adult, I still have that same Gamecube copy, and I got the HD remaster on PS4 and on Switch. I sing this game's praises to anyone who'll listen, and I'm always happy to see content creators like you talking about it. Cheers m8!
I made a list a while ago of games I've wanted to cover and Ty was one of the first on there 😄
Loooooved TY when i was a Kid still do 😍🥰
Ty fandom pull u
Love this game . This would be the greater memory in my heart ♥️
I loved playing Ty the Tasmanian Tiger on ps2 when i was a kid and very happy they remastered it for modern consoles
This was also one of my childhood games on the PS2, Retro! It took me a long time as a kid to finally beat it as I sometimes didn't think to explore more after completing the main mission, but it was still a fun experience, giving me a taste of some Australian culture, and I'm grateful the series is getting some new exposure with the re-releases. Here's hoping Krome will be able to get a Ty 5 underway, as the two comics they made in 2020 and 2022 hinted at where they could go next with the story.
You can see such a jump too when they get to the second game. They really put their all into the sequel. Give them something like unreal 5 or something similar and they'd make something incredible
I'm a HUGE fan of the series! I even got some of my artwork promoted by the developers
What a great summary of TY the Tasmanian Tiger! Thank you for sharing your love of our solid B of a retro platformer with the world. You rippa! Glad to hear you enjoyed the physical release. It's thanks to the fans and their support of the Kickstarters that TY the Tasmanian Tiger is enjoying a bit of a revival. We continue to reinvest in the brand and with continued fan support we hope to make a whole new TY the Tasmanian Tiger game one day. Cheers-
Well this has absolutely made my day. I was genuinely delighted to see you guys bring the series to pc and modern consoles over the past few years, My bush rescue bundle arrived today and I'm delighted with it. All the love and best wishes from here in Ireland to all of you at KromeStudios, Thanks for creating such a lovely part of my friends and I's Childhood. Looking forward to what's to come!
Now that's a legendary moment
To be honest, until watching this video, i have never heard of this game but as a big fan of spyro as a kid this would have probably been right up my street.
@@Legendary_Sid honestly if you're looking for something different to play, it's a great shout. They're all on steam and Goes on sale a ton too.
I loved the time Ty put Crash, Spryo and Sonic into the hospital with a boomerang
Man had to make a statement 🤣
The Last of Us deserves the title not RDR.
Oh last of us is totally one too, that title is just referring to it as being one of the best games of that generation in my eyes, not an overall.
Infinitely better than RDR2, but too many people can't see beyond graphics and gimmicks.
Youre alone on this one bro
Fyi I also love Red Dead Redemption 2! And I think its also one of the best games of its console generation (ps4/Xbox One) This video just happens about the first game and why it's one of my favorites from the 360/ps3 generation.
RDR2 > RDR1, objective truth P.s. Yes, I played both the year they released
I’m sorry but the game is not that good in 2024 standards especially when it first came out nobody was talking about this game if it wasn’t for red dead redemption 2 this game would of been forgotten like revolver the story just feels like there’s a lot missing that could of been filled as there is too many forgettable characters and the story is just there where it’s hard to care for John sorry but the ending of the game seems forced
I thought this was gta cowboy edition
I Am very suprised to see the quality of this video, and then looking at your subscriber count. Please keep the passion in your videos. They re awesome👍
Thanks so much, that's genuinely such a lovely comment to post. Enjoying the process a lot and planning plenty more videos for the future!
I like this game way more than the second. To me it felt a lot more like a western (which is kinda weird since RDR1 is set where the wild west was really dying compared to the second), and the Mexico segment was incredible.
I feel the same, I love 2 but this just had a certain feeling to it. I loved basically all of the Mexico missions, I think it was more so the constant back and forth to each side of it that I wasn't mad on. Absolutely love the revolution parts, Landon and I hated what happened to poor Louisa 😅
I played the game and all I can say is that red dead 1 is highly overrated, First of all the pacing is so goddam fast we didn't have enough time to get to like john a lot more then he just died, did the mission with bill and javier and then dutch then that was it. After that you get to play as jack then just kill edgar ross then the game is finished. Tbh this game feels like its story is just a story board it didn't had anything to get to know more or even get to be attached to the characters. This game's release on 2024 for pc port is just purely for nostalgia and cash grab, though there are pros for this game there is no doubt that this game is indeed outdated even if older players says this game is "legendary". The world evolved because its standards get higher and higher and this game didn't meet the standard that it needs to hit to this day, so yeah as a player who only played rdr 2 and played red dead 1 I would say that this game is overrrated.
I agree as people kept raving about it online and when I finally played it it was terrible horse riding is bad unless you use cheats, most of the characters are forgettable if it wasn’t for the second game u wouldn’t care for bill javier and Dutch while he’s good it’s just not enough to make you want to care for Dutch and the ending seems forced and u don’t know much about the family
@@dwaynejpeterkin I like how people find red dead 1 better than 2 and I just find it bullshit cover up for being "nostalgic" to the game. 2 had more build up it had the sense for adventure and most of all you get to like the character to the point that you miss the character by player john afterwards, 1 didn't do anything of that infact the story itself was dogshit paced and it really doesn't deserve the recognition that it has for people today. I agree that 1 wouldn't even get recognized if it wasn't for 2's huge success. Red dead 1 as a story game was not a good game in general
Rdr2 is better than rdr1? 🎵why the f*** u lying?🎵
This game was the absolute business at the time! The ending of the game and the epilogue is one the greatest of all times, I never wanted a game character dead so badly as old Edgar. Cracking video mate.
@@Legendary_Sid ooh man I was preparing myself throughout this playthrough for it 🤣 Everytime I seen him I was thinking deadeye 2 in his knees 1 there and 2 there 🤣 Ah thanks so much mate, really appreciate it!
started this back up recently, great video as ever man!
@@1LEMUN cheers buddy 😄 have a great time replaying it!
What a game honestly!!
@@Bundicot it's one of the best man
The Spyro trilogy was awesome but I love Spyro year of the dragon alot more
It would be really cool if the made the next switch like the DS. The tv would be the top screen and the switch becomes the touch screen. It would have to be for certain games though it could get annoying.
I think if they did that the dock would need to have a chromecast style casting system. So you could cast your top display to the TV and use handheld as the bottom DS screen or Wii u gamepad
Hype :D
Honestly, i dont think the Switch 2 is going to do that well. With the likes of the steam deck and competitors the only thing the switch 2 can do is go HARD or go cheap and i think i can put money on which one they are gonna do. They always have a way of coming out on top though so we will see.
Man I'd definitely have to disagree, Their IP alone will fly this off shelves, they just need to avoid a Wii U situation and make sure there's no confusion over it being an actual new generation console.
Shorter video this week, But i've got a fun one planned for Next week. Revisiting one of my favorites and one of the best Xbox 360 and PS3 Games.
❤
You had 207 subs one month ago... that means I was your 207th - 208th sub. (depending on when you captured that clip 1:33)
I was on around 20 a month ago and That video is from a month ago too but the screenshot was taken earlier today
I want a new IP 1st year.. and they also try to make a popular game. While Arms didn't exactly take off, it was unique & fun.
@@RetroCheats a new IP would be great or bringing back an IP that's been dormant for a long time like Kid Icarus, F-zero etc
@@RetroRevivalShow they already did, and it did not impress me.
you should make a video of other 3D platformers that scratch the spyro itch! i’m gonna have to look into astrobot👀
@@diiisky I'll definitely be covering similar games in the future. Highly recommend Astro as a Spyro Fan! Thanks for checking out the video!
You sound irish. Hello fellow irish person
I agree!
I agree Spyro 2 was the best 🙂
after many years, im very close to 100% this game, but extreme stealth maps are making me not want to finish it
@@DarkClown193 they're tough for sure, stick with it, even look up some guides if you have to. I'm trying to do the Arkham City platinum trophy currently and it's tough I definitely really found the extreme combat ones tougher. Missing the score by just a few points was painful.
This game came out as such the right time its absolutely crazy. I loved playing this through lockdown! Also great editing man!
@@Bundicot it's definitely a big reason why the switch blew up as much as it has. Thanks man! I Was fighting Vegas with some stuff 🤣
New horizons my lockdown comfort ♥ My first animal crossing game like yourself so I had no expectations of what it was going to be like. Its always going to be a game I appreciate and am thankful for. Was so happy to play it even though I was like a year late to the party haha. EEEK a bug, one of my favourite blathers moments, Brewster finally being added made me so happy, love that pigeon, still yet to get Bob the cat to join my island, maybeeee one day ^-^
@@missspark4307 It was a great game to play during lockdown. I'm always resisting the urge to go back and move around everything again 😂
This game is weird for me... Until everyone started playing this at the start of lockdown, i had never heard of it but hearing people talk about it led me to buying a bundle with this game a switch lite. It was during lockdown but sadly i got bored of it very quickly, by two weeks i was done and passed it to the kids to play about with. Good game though.
@@Legendary_Sid I'd say it's definitely a game that varies wildly depending on people's preference. I'd say if it was the kind of game that had stuff like dungeons etc you could do regularly you might have enjoyed it more.
@ yeah that would’ve been a great feature!
@@Legendary_Sid Stardew might suit you then, it's got the whole life/faming sim gameplay with dungeons you can do too
@ Got like 500 hours in that game, one of my faves!
@@RetroRevivalShow fun fact- the first animal crossing was actually supposed to be a dungeon crawler! (well at night, the daytime was typical animal crossing activities) the reason why it got axe was bc the storage limitations on the gamecube at the time and they just never added it in in the future games
Another quality video mate!
I actually started playing this game for the first time this week so seeing this video is an awesome coincidence!😁
Oh Brilliant, hope you have a great time playing through it!
Now do a video on my origins is an underrated masterpiece (I know it’s like city but it’s 🤌🏻)
@@jakecoss7153 I'm definitely going to get to origins sometime 😅 I'd say city will be next whenever I get to that and then origins and knight. It'll be a mix of different games until then but it's definitely planned 😁
Batman arkham origins is a masterpiece to in its own way
It's very underrated imo. Some of the best cutscenes in the series too.
Yes
Not sure if you've played Shadow yet but it's like a blast from the past, very asylum influenced.
I've played a little so far and it's fantastic!
Spyro 2 is my favorite Spyro game. I love the Spyro franchise. It doesn't beat Banjo-kazooie in my books, but it's better than Mario and Sonic. Thst said Donkey Kong beats out Spyro for me but being DK 64 was mt first 3D video game and i koved the coubtry games; DK just has more nostalgia for me. An interesting fact my wife who didn't have video games growing up, Knew who Spyro was when the game got remastered. Her favorite 3D platformer is still Yooka Laylee though. Any ways great video.
@@matthewvandyk7773 Thanks so much! DK64 is one I badly need to play some day! Honestly my sister's, aunt and some cousins were all talking about it when it got remade, same with crash bandicoot. it was bizarre 😅
I literally just completed this game 2 days ago lol. I liked solving the puzzles and stuff around the Asylum and it was my favourite part of the game. the combat sometimes feels repetitive but since the story isn't that big, it didn't really bother me when I completed the game. will play the Arkham City soon now
Oh Brilliant! Arkham City improves on the combat a lot. I love the setting and aesthetic of asylum but city really goes all in on story and world building.
What is great about the Arkham series is that they are all great (Except the one we don't talk about) Arkham Shadow a VR game was just released and it's awesome too.
Ive been honestly playing through the trilogy again the ps1 versions and spyro 2 sucks so bad spyro 1-3 for me skip 2 part 2 is just a chore simulator
I see Batman arkham, and I click. Just subbed. Welcome, man. Here's to many more!
Thanks for checking out the video! Planning plenty more!
Glad UA-cam's algorithm got me here, especially since you often hear the American title instead of the EU/UK one! Wholeheartedly agree regarding the order of favourites too, Spyro 3 was good and all but it just didn't hit the same as 1 and 2. One thing I will recommend doing on your next replay of 2, the original 2 instead of the remaster, is to learn the double jump trick! You get to see much more of the game itself, and bypass a few hazards like Moneybags.
Glad it brought you here too! Pretty sure It still says Riptos rage in some sections in the EU/UK one and it always threw me off as a kid 🤣
@RetroRevivalShow I'll have to look out for that when I next play it! I didn't notice that before 🤭
