How long was the boat ride?
About 3 hours with both portages.
I am a simple person. I see a turtle swimming, I like it.
Land turtle swimming? Only In Ohio
it is an aquatic turtle

@@jacobsworld7573 not terresrtrial they are closer to aquatic turtles than anything and terrestrial tortoises do not have webbed feet

Love the Gaulley! We have our annual boys trip there every year. We will be doing the double upper this Friday.

It’s right after sweet falls. This is called Box canyon. Lots of fun in there as you can tell haha

Surprised this video hasn't received many more views. I find it interesting just for the views of the background. For instance, at about 1:19, what is the name of that church across the street? If I am seeing this correctly, that would be located just down the street (to the east, on Mount Tabor Road) from where Dr Receveur's dentist office is now, right? When was the church demolished? Anyone have more info?

What was better for smallies rose or south?
It was late May. Caught Lakers and smallies in South. Found the water to be warmer in Rose, and the smallies were jumping in the boat!! Rose is also amazingly scenic!
When I went as a teenager my dad and I did really good on rose and Duncan lakes with leaches
Wow!!!! I played there from 1954 to 1956. At that time most teams were sponsored by unions. All minor league teams (4) were theElectricians with different color shirts. I was blue. Then up to the big leagues!!! I was on the Plumbers Local 605. We were red and wore 605 on our caps. Thanks for the memories. John Harmon

good fishing right there! what is the catching rate on those lakes? I've never been up there and would like to give it a shot in 2017
In the spring, the fishing is world class! It's worth the effort for the fishing alone, but there's so much more.
