I had no idea there was a (basically) Dead season there! We went in July or August and yes, the weather was perfect. We stayed in Upper Lehman in our 17” trailer & it barely fit, with tree branches touching the trailer (no slides)! Had to park the truck perpendicular in front of the trailer. The sites are really small! I hope you get a chute go back in season bc the Alpine lakes hike is beautiful.

Lol. The only ironclad rule I've found is that your mileage may (will) vary. I've been a wanderer for 5 years and I remind myself to remain flexible. Very wet Utah roads are generally impassible. You wait. It's all good.

Four years ago, we did the Mighty 5 for the first time. It took us 5 months to boondock all across SE UT and we loved it. We plan on going back next year to see what we missed, as we missed a lot. We camped right on top of that big rock as you're driving into Beas Flat. We loved that Indian restaurant just down the road in Bicknel. If you're in the area it's worth checking out. It's amazing. An overlooked attraction in the area is Crystal Geyser by Green River, UT. There's a ton of boondocking near there too. We boondocked outside of Goblin Valley on Wildhorse Rd. here: 38.572997, -110.737310 Enjoy your trip!
