Sky Bucket Dreams
United States
Приєднався 16 лют 2023
Welcome to Sky Bucket Dreams!
We’re John & Peggy and we’re happy you are visiting our channel! We bought a used 32’ Class C motorhome in 2021 to make following our son’s college football team more fun. In our videos, we document our travels, tailgates, RV DIY projects, and RV Living tips.
Why “Sky Bucket Dreams?” Back in 1993, John got down on one knee inside a Disneyland Skyway “bucket” and proposed to Peggy. While the Disneyland Skyway ride was retired in 1994, the dreams we shared together 30+ years ago in those skies over Disneyland continue to come true.

When NOT to Visit Great Basin National Park // Lehman Caves and RV Camping at Sacramento Pass
On our way from Capitol Reef to the Salt Flats, we decide to stop-over at Great Basin National Park in Nevada for a few nights. We're disappointed to learn that most hiking trails are closed due to the season but still manage to make the best of it and take a great guided tour of the Lehman Caves.

Lost in Cathedral Valley // Goblin Valley State Park Dispersed RV Camping
Переглядів 50114 днів тому
Google Maps has taken us on some questionable routes but this one may have been the worst yet! We visit Goblin Valley State Park in the morning very cool place. Then head for what we think is a 2-3 hour drive through Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef National Park. With no cell coverage and only offline maps, we end-up in a sticky situation and find ourselves driving for hours in the dark on 4x4...

El Malpais National Monument // RV Propane, Water and Road Issues

We've heard about "dips" on RV journeys and we literally got stuck in one at Joe Skeen campground in Grants, NM! There were also challenges refilling our onboard propane and fresh water tank. That didn't stop Peggy from getting-in hikes around El Malpais National Monument, including the Bandera Ice Caves, Sandstone Bluffs, Narrows Rim and Lava Falls. How to replace a cracked RVLock keyless handle keypad
Переглядів 642 місяці тому
The keypad on our RVLock keyless handle began falling apart after 2 years of use. I contacted RVLock and they are now using a much better, more durable keypad on all of their new locks. I ordered one of these new silicone membrane keypads and replaced the old keypad. This video goes over the steps I went through to uninstall the handle, remove the old keypad, install the new keypad, and reinsta...

Переглядів 8502 місяці тому
We make the 1,400 mile trip home from the Southwest with Harvest Hosts stops in Barstow (Slash X Ranch)and Lodi (J&M Farms), California. Google Maps sends us down a road where we get stuck on the way to our stay-over spot at Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville, Oregon. We make it out but then get stuck in a terrible 3-day ice storm and have to wait it out at a new campground in Roseburg, Orego...

Monument Valley Winter RV Trip
Переглядів 2513 місяці тому
Our winter holiday RV trip continues as we head to Mexican Hat, Utah and stay at one of the coolest campsites we've ever experienced Goosenecks State Park. It was COLD and the snow rolled-in too! The drive through Monument Valley was beautiful with the contrast of red rocks and white snow. At least, while we had a window in the snowfall. Peggy took advantage of a sunny day to drive through Vall...

Jasper National Park - PART 2: Our toad dies
I had no idea there was a (basically) Dead season there! We went in July or August and yes, the weather was perfect. We stayed in Upper Lehman in our 17” trailer & it barely fit, with tree branches touching the trailer (no slides)! Had to park the truck perpendicular in front of the trailer. The sites are really small! I hope you get a chute go back in season bc the Alpine lakes hike is beautiful.
Nicely done as always you two.👍
I just came across your channel and love your style, I think you have a future on UA-cam, when have time I’ll watch previous videos, keep em coming, great work.
Very kind of you! Thanks for watching!!
Lol. The only ironclad rule I've found is that your mileage may (will) vary. I've been a wanderer for 5 years and I remind myself to remain flexible. Very wet Utah roads are generally impassible. You wait. It's all good.
Very nicely done.👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Love your adventures! 😀 My wife is also very afraid of cliff side driving
Thanks so much. Appreciate the comments. Yes, Peggy does not like these mountain drives. 😀
Four years ago, we did the Mighty 5 for the first time. It took us 5 months to boondock all across SE UT and we loved it. We plan on going back next year to see what we missed, as we missed a lot. We camped right on top of that big rock as you're driving into Beas Flat. We loved that Indian restaurant just down the road in Bicknel. If you're in the area it's worth checking out. It's amazing. An overlooked attraction in the area is Crystal Geyser by Green River, UT. There's a ton of boondocking near there too. We boondocked outside of Goblin Valley on Wildhorse Rd. here: 38.572997, -110.737310 Enjoy your trip!
Very cool! We have a couple of videos coming on our dispersed camping out in Green River area on Wildhorse Road. Can't wait to get back down that way again.
👍
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks! It must be the hair. 😊
Nicely done as always!👍
Thanks again!
Ever considered going to Alaska?
Definitely! Just have one more college football season and then we'll be hitting more bucket list destinations.
We love your videos. Some of those big name UA-camrs have lots to learn from you.
Much appreciated!
Grants is where I get off 40 to head to my Concho property. Love that route....if you stay on 53 you will reach El Morro. Best wishes.
It was a great drive.
Grew up in El Paso and know that area well. If you make it to the Show Low, I have property near there you are welcome to stay at. @RidgeValleyRanch
Wow! Very nice offer. We'll let you know that next time we're down that way.
Looked like a fun time.👍
It was!
Another fun leg of the trip.👍
Glad you enjoyed it
You're a jerk! You should have saved the dog, and what is with the arrogance? Do you ever do anything with your wife?
pretty .... rave 1. All You Need (Farrell & Farrell: Let the Whole World Know - Live [1982])
where is this forest?
Your Government... go away... don't bother us.. we are making $100K a year doing nothing..on anohter note... Nitrale gloves.. facemask at the "welcome" station... .. my advice to government employees.. Please Quit...(this guy must be a joy to date)
LOL! You cannot overnight inside a National Park.
You can stealth without a car. I don't pay for nothing.
If you want to be successful ytubers cut the arrogance. EVERYONE has already done a vid on whatever you think is original and unique. Calm down and be real. As a 5 year veteran of full time van life (no channel) I’ve seen it all. Stop trying be Kardashians and be yourselves! ❤ 🎉
Nicely done you two. And I never grease my ball in public!🙄👍
That's funny! Thanks for watching.
Absolutely amazing. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak Gilgit-Baltistan Barah Valley. Add this sound in your bucket list.
Certainly will! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I m watching your video from Turkıye (Turkey).ı got the enjoy whıle ur video.Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you!
Did Austin ever make it out of the canyon???
I think he went all Forest Gump and kept running east... :)
@@skybucketdreams😂😂😂👍
Nicely done.👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I never trusted google Maps to begin with. it's the map book all along
Good call. I grew up with my dad always having Thomas Guide map books in the car. Probably should keep maps on hand too.
Well that "fun" trip looked like it ended even more "fun"!👍
Ya, coming home to a burst water pipe really capped-off the trip! :)
I LOVE watching you two.
That's SO nice of you to say! We'll keep the videos coming!!
Nicely done you two.👍
Thanks for watching!
Very cool. Literally. Nicely done.👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed our area. You drove by my neighborhood on the way to Tuzigoot. Yes you missed a lot of good stuff here. Nicely done and I will be checking out more of your content.👍
We really did enjoy the area and regret not spending more time exploring. We'll definitely be back!
Love you videos but we can barely hear you sometimes because the background music is too loud
Good feedback. We'll work on getting the audio better balanced. Thanks!
Very nice adventure video and thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback.
Nice video, but time for you guys to come home. You're having way too much fun!
No, it's time for you to join us on some adventures!! 😀
Please invest in some quality microphones. I, unfortunately, had to stop the video at five minutes in, simply because I couldn’t hear anything you were saying. Really a shame, because I think you may have good content. Yes, I realize you are new.
Hello, enjoyed going with you on your trip!
Glad you enjoyed
Brilliant atmosphere my friend, shots and atmosphere are phenomenal!
Great video. Thanks for sharing the adventure on this journey to Yellowstone. Take care and safe travels.
Thanks, you too!
Great story regarding the channel name. Thanks for sharing the adventures. Take care.

Rappelling into the glacier was the best part of the Athabasca Glacier hike! So thrilling!
What company did you go through?!

We went with Rockaboo Mountain Adventures. Great guide and well organized.
I was in the area last year and been to most of the places you guys visited. Lovely area to settle if you can afford the cost of housing and living.
We agree!
Great footage!
Thanks, Austin! We'll work on getting some embarrassing footage of Mike and Melissa up soon. :)
