I picked this same one up for $75 on market place! It's great
Great video. Do you mind me asking how much you rented it out for per day?
This was last year. It was $150 per day or 8 hours
If you buy a Mantis, carry your toolbox & lunch to the garden & be prepared to spend the day sitting on your azz in the hot sun working on the Da..n thing instead of tilling ! You might get one good year out of it before it becomes an f'ing nightmare !
WHAT DO U ALL THINK ABOUT SWITCHING TO THESE BATTERY POWERED ECHO HEDGE TRIMMERS… I’ve always used the echo PAS2620 w articulating trimmer head and I love the gas powered ones mostly cause it feels strong… what makes me nervous about buying a battery one is thinking it wont cut through thick stuff like the gas one does easily ya know what I mean… anyways it would help trimming the tops of cedar hedges cause im sure its a lot lighter in weight than the pas2620 right… anyways does anyone have any experience in the two thanks so much
If you're asking me, I've used the echo 2600 for almost three seasons now with the string trimmer and hedge trimmer and it's great you just have to factor in, You're going to need a lot of batteries to run it that get through the whole day compared to just using half a gallon of gas for the 2620 or less per day. That would be the main concern. 2600 has plenty of power, not the same as a 2620 but close
Awesome video… you just answered my question I’ve been asking myself all year on how am I gonna unload everything from my utility
This setup works great. I've had it for 4 years now. The most important thing when putting this setup together is a rear roller. I had the roller mount bend to the point where I couldn't use it twice before I put together the one I have now it works but it's not great.
@@sololawnprofessionalok I’ll remember that 👊🏼🫡
Thanks for this video. I’m getting a 5*12. The way you have yours mounted is what I will do. The only difference is I put a box on my pick up truck. I unloaded simply by buying one of those truck bed unloaders that you hand crank off. I can unload my truck in a matter of a minute. Works great for me. It’s nice to see you that the hose will fit underneath the railing of the trailer. That will be great. I really don’t want to mount it on the tongue of the trailer.
Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. This setup works pretty well, especially when working by yourself. Before I put all this together, I did use the load handler to unload the trailer. It worked fine for wood and rocks but it didn't work well for me, unloading leaves. I did have a short wall attached to the load handler but I still couldn't get it to work. Let me know if you've had a success. Unloading leaves with a load hander.
I'd buy a battery powered blower if it could run at least 30 minutes on high. Very impressive cfm and speed specs with very reasonable prices. I'm old and have arthritis, and I got a battery power Ego trimmer which is heavier than my old gas Echo top line trimmer, but it's very powerful and will run at least 45 minutes on mid power and over 30 on high. I also have a battery sp lawnmower that is much lighter than my old gas sp mower by 25 lbs. Runs for an hour. But these blowers must suck a lot more power and the down side is short run times. A commercial operator would need $1200 of batteries for one person per day. Just like these worthless EV cars that are great when they are charged, but can become a nightmare waiting in long lines to get a charge every couple of hours of drive time. Too expensive and not enough run time.
You can get fairly decent run time but have to use the 5.0 battery and now the blower is heavy. My one main gripe about the battery blowers and this is all manufacturers. The performance numbers are misleading because now they give you high CFM but low airspeed and without the air speed you don't have anything. From my experience, the battery blowers blow leaves better than grass clippings. I bought the new Echo eForce 5800 and with one 5.0 battery it weighs 20 lbs and it has pretty good run time, if you're conservative with the throttle but if you're going to use it like a real backpack blower for work, it's going to need three batteries and weigh 35 lbs.
@@sololawnprofessional Thx for the input. I'm pushing 80 and weight of equipment matters a lot if I'm using equipment with one hand and don't have a shoulder strap all the time. I know I can get one and that might take care of the problem, but the lower weight of the gas models are a big plus when your old with arthritis. And I have ear muffs for the loud noise. But I do like my battery Green Works lawn mower. Had a 80v Kobalt that was fantastic until the pc board burned up last year and they don't sell replacements. So battery powered stuff is not always care free. And they probably won't dell parts for any of this battery equipment 5 years down the road. So my gas 26 year old Echo blower sure has done well for it's bang for the buck. But for about the same weight, I can get twice the power in one of these new models.
Thanks for the great video review. Would definitely consider one for my needs. I noticed that you replaced the original Briggs engine with a Predator. Did you buy the DR new? Wondered if it came with a defective engine?
I got this second hand. It had a really nice b&s with electric start It was smoking really bad. Unfortunately, the predator is not as powerful as what was on there to begin with, but still works perfectly fine.
@@sololawnprofessional Thanks! Nice to know that the DR motor can be replaced with Predator if necessary. Any major problems with the repower project?
I bent the main pulley pretty bad using the puller but Dr Trimmer sells the pulley that I needed must be a common problem. I replaced the engine 8 years ago.
Thanks for the upgrade tip. I ordered the pro-torque gearbox to make my 2100 equal to my 2600. I have a pro-torque head on another shaft. Will transfer it to my 2600 and make it a 2600T.
The high torque gear box will definitely improve the 2100 but it would never fix its shortcomings. The cutting out when it hit something hard and it being too short
Thanks for the videos , I think I will go with the back pack blower , its probably over kill for the most part , but at least then ill have something powerful when its needed
My unit won’t charge. It came with one green light on. Left it on over night and still one green light.
I've been using mine for 2.5 years now and I haven't had any problems with it. I would unplug the charger take out the battery, then plug the charger back in and then install the battery. It clicks and then the light starts blinking. If it doesn't do anything I would just return it.
Show it, not just talk about it

The stijl blower that sits on your back like a backpack , those things leave both of those for dead , though they are meant for more commercial applications, but looking at your yard , it might be a good choice for that yars haha
This is just a demonstration of the equipment. At the time the battery blower was the only thing available. There was no battery backpack blowers
@@sololawnprofessional no i meant petrol blower back pack blower , they are big and heavy , but powerful.
I know what you meant but I was just meant there wasn't a comparison at the time but I own all the blowers Echo makes from the weakest to the most powerful. ua-cam.com/video/bq729_RAnZg/v-deo.html
what hedge trimmer is that and how long do they last please
Echo e-force 2100 and it will last about 20 minutes or so with the 2.5 battery

August 2024. I purchased a new Hav a heart # 1026 small animal cage. I have used larger Hav a heart cages for years A+. This 1026 has plastic/steel rod is not installed when taken out of box...does not stay attached place... You tube glossed over this flaw in design on their video, customer service gal can't explain anything technical...really? Will be returned to Home Depot tomorrow. Let the red squirrels run wild! W. Nicholas
ua-cam.com/video/H0c72t8xVuo/v-deo.html I don't know if this video will help. Let me know if this is your issue or not.
I saw a video where the battery died after months. What has been your experience with battery life over time?
I have 4 batteries for the trimmer I use them everyday for the past 2 1/2 seasons. I've had no problems. I charge them on the slow charger, I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I don't let them get rained on. I don't let them freeze. I don't let them get too hot. I keep them in a cooler if it's going to be one extreme or the other. I've been very happy with the eforce equipment.
That was a lot of leaves lol
Does anyone know if you could use this if you've put down or the prior owner has put down Landscaping paper?
Gloves!!! While mulching!!!
No need for gloves. It's part of the experience
@@sololawnprofessional more power to you 😅

Thank you, I appreciate it
I got stung by some yellow jackets last month string trimming & didn't see the nest 🪹 in the ground it didn't feel good 😬😞
I've been stung multiple times since I do lawn care and this is the time frame is when they appear in my area so I'm always on the lookout. I've sprayed three ground nests so far this month.
That's is not professional 💩🤮🤮
That's is nothing bulllllll shittttttt 💩🤮

Was this the 2100 or 2600?
2600
Lol did you really leave the edge like that
If the primer bulb doesn't purge, would that be a bad fuel line? Seems to be getting air somewhere. I took the fuel line out, it looks good, but not sure. Could it be something else? It's the original rubber line.
First thing to do is pull off the fuel lines. Press the purge button and feel if you have any vacuum. If you do I would reattach the lines. Pull the fuel filter off and see if you can feel if you vacuum there.
@@sololawnprofessional Okay, I will try that. Thank you very much.
@@sololawnprofessional It was weird, when I put the new carb on and had everything set, the bulb filled when I primed it. It ran okay, but I wanted to tune it a little better with the high-low screws (not a good idea) I've never done that and believe I made it worse because I can't get it to idle. It runs with some throttle, and runs good, but dies instantly when letting all the way off the throttle. So I've been trying to get it to stay running. The other day I went to try it again and it wouldn't prime, it was getting air, no fuel was going into the ball. I just took it all apart to check the fuel line, it seems to look good, but it's all apart now. I was going to order another kit and install another new one. I will try your suggestion, thanks again.
Great idea!
Yeh someone doesn’t know how to make a circle. ⭕️ don’t quit your day job okay.
Thanks for your comment but I'm just maintaining what was already there.

What are spraying near the end?
1% strength sodium hypochlorite (bleach)
WOW beautiful ❤️👍👍👍
Seems like one of those broom heads for a trimmer would be great for that.
That would probably work but it may just take the leaves off and leave the vine.
What about commercially/almost daily lawncare / landscaping? Anyone got any recommendations on these string trimmer mowers? Sidenote: I hope someone buys and reviews/compares a couple “walk behind string trimmer mowers” brands of these in a video one of these days to see which one is the best. I think they’re pretty cool and wonder if I should opt for getting one to start out landscaping over a push mower and regular string trimmer and get those later?:)
I do lawn maintenance full-time. You should stick with a regular push mower and string trimmer if you want to charge people money. A walk behind string trimmer can obviously cut grass and trim but it's not an all-in-one machine to replace a lawn mower. For the cost of this trimmer, you could buy a really nice push mower and a really nice commercial string trimmer and a hand blower to go with it.
I just got this saw. I am not a professional chainsaw user. Although I did work wildfires for the National Park Service, part time as a very young man. We are on a rural plot of land in Central Oregon, and there are occasional trees to fall and frequently tree maintenance that needs to be done. I work full time in alternative oncology. But at age 74 I still enjoy getting out on the land and doing physical work. So far, I love the saw. I just have one complaint: The bump spikes are not sharpened at all. They have rounded ends. I cannot even call them points. This really detracts from the usefulness of this saw. When falling trees, it could even compromise the safety of this saw. I checked with customer support to make sure that modifying the bump spikes would not void the warranty. Then I removed the bump spike plate and filed the ends to nice, sharp points. That is an improvement, but I am concerned that because the steel is soft enough so that I could do this, means that they will quickly go dull if used much. Maybe some enterprising aftermarket business will offer a sharp, hardened steel bump spike plate for this saw. Then I will put it up against my Stihl 18″ bar gas powered saw any day. This is my only complaint so far. I may even take the time to make my own bump spike plate from high carbon steel so that I can give it an initial sharpening and then harden it. Not sure I will find the time to do that, tough. Making a good one by hand would be time-consuming. Probably an old, retired circular saw blade would make good steel to use for this project.
How’s the battery holding up since you got it?
The 2600 is excellent. I've used it everyday for the past 2 1/2 seasons as a string trimmer. I use the 2100 to trim bushes. It's great for that. The echo 2620 is a better trimmer overall, but nowhere as nice to use as the 2600 so my 2620 just sits. If you're talking about the batteries themselves, I've had no trouble with them at all. I use 5 batteries a day with the trimmer and the backpack blower.
💚👍👍👍
Thank you Sandy, I appreciate it
И для чего?газона английского нет, пустая трата времент и сил, еще дерево заболеет😢
Dosent work i bought 2 cans and they became more now lol😅
You have to spray the nest. You can't just spray a hole in the ground that doesn't work. They'll just keep coming, As soon as you expose the nest and spray it down. There'll be nothing left of them.. I just used it the other day. It works great. This is the best product.
Just curious...since the mower deck is basically free-floating, is there any risk of bending some of the bolts and such that the deck hangs by when lifting the mower from under the deck? Thanks for the video.
I personally have not had any problems with the mower lift damaging the mower. Also, I lift the mower deck up real slow before I lift the machine so it doesn't slam into itself. I do know that some mowers require a different hook to lift them, so you should investigate if you're thinking about buying one of these. Also, I think the jungle Jim's has a better design than the Ballard version. Just in the ease of lifting the mower, they do the same job, but I definitely think the jungle Jim's is better.
Зачем?!?!?😢
There's a dead tree in the middle of one of my garden beds, i use it as a trellis for melons, tomatoes. yams, squash, and anything else that vines. It works perfectly and makes the tree look alive alive again. 😊
That's a great idea, but this tree is still alive and well even though it doesn't look that way.

Yes, because a big dirt patch doesn't look like shit unlike a tree with grass growing up to it does.
