Halo peaked at halo 5 in all ways except the campaign. If you disagree you're just wrong.
Damn, the breadtubers are still going on about this after YEARS and hundreds of videos going on about how infinite is a failure.
Modern multiplayer tactics have burned me so much, though i wasn't the biggest fan of multiplayer, that ive more or less stopped playing multiplayer all together. Especially modern multiplayer ficused games. If i cant enjoy it by myself, then its not really worth my time, mostly because i have social deficiencies so playing multiplayer is already difficult. Tldr, i play single player games because multiplayer games suck.
👍
The free to play model does make you buy more things. But Infinite was the first title to get people in for free. And since people dont mind dumping loads of money into their CoD account youd think people would spend a few dollars here (which i have). I dont pay for Xbox live so i dont uave to care. Infinite is solid gameplay. This whole train of UA-camrs that hate on this game will sing a different tune maybe 8 to 10 years from now. I can guarantee and prove that. People used to hate Halo Reach and 4. How do you think people view these games now?
When Star Citizen 4.0 comes out, would you mind doing a video on it? I really enjoyed your last Star Citizen video essay.
@@Nitrogamingcw yeah I'd love to, I'd have to spend time figuring out what to talk about in the sense of a point I'm trying to convey. I feel a video praising the game for the good things and just a general update is a bit lazy (maybe not tho idk) but I'll definitely keep tabs on it. Server meshing is something wanna focus on tho, maybe a video about games that try to do new things in software/tech ? I'll definitely see although I'll be streaming star citizen here soon for the scale video and it will feature in a section of the video
@ ok good I’ll be happy to join the stream, and server meshing should start rolling out during 4.0 which will either come out December this year or more likely Q1 next year, I think just a general video on 4.0 and how far the game has come would be cool. Always enjoy your content man thank you for all the effort you put in!
a shame how 343 used Joseph Staten as damage control, OG halo fans love the guy and when i saw that tooo late on development just months ahead of release they hired him i know that Halo Infinite will not be great
im a backer but ill say it. star citizen wont even save star citizen, let alone gaming.
I'm so damn tired of cosmetic customization in games. I've never once cared about this stupid crap. Halo should have a custom tag and symbol. That's all you need. The rest is Harry Potter fan fic cringe.
Halo been dead since 2012 not sure why people don’t realise this
Copium and desperate nostalgia
Halo 3 and Reach are absolute peaking gaming
If they wanna save Halo they need to take their fuckin greedy corporate thumbs outta their ass and get over their exclusivity craze to drop halo infinite on Playstation. Guarantee if they do it the game will be saved for a while with a fresh audience and a new perspective to hopefully shift halo into a better light. Eh who am i tho nobody gives a damn about it anyways 😢
@@eggofshell I mean yeah agreed with all including the who TF am I part lol I'd love to walk into halo Studios and lay it out but they won't listen at least the corpos won't
I disagree that Halo Infinite is Microsoft's greatest failure. I think that falls to Windows Vista.
You dont get brownie points for adding something that should've been there or "fixing" a still broken system.
when will they realize, you make good stuff money will come.
All the penny pinching nickel-and-dime skinner box garbage makes back all the losses if it sticks and accomplishes every AAA ceo's goal: fortnite again. As a certain Sterling once said: they don't want a lot of money, they want all the money. Never mind that fortnite again is literally impossible because of how user populations, comfort games, and lightning in bottles work. If they collapse the whole industry they can just bail on golden parachutes, come back when the working class has rebuilt the foundations, and do it all again. Forever. Well, until our approaching extinction.
LOL, this dude still had faith after Halo 4 and 5 were the total trash they turned out to be. A game that was born dead from a company that didnt care for the franchise outside their comics and books shouldnt be a surprise for failure
Six months after launch they added 3 new maps, none of them being big maps for BTB or that dumb ass seed mode. Co-op took a FULL year to come out. Forge took a year and a half to come out. even 3 years later, I jump in to see the new content added and the net code STILL isn't fixed. If you throw a grenade, and some one kills you within a second of you throwing a Grande... then it never happened. That worked for ALL damage types. melee especially, you could hit a guy 3 times and his shield would finally break just in time for him to kill you and walk away. Considering this is like the 11th halo game, I just find that unacceptable, more so considering they have had three years to fix it. Fuck this game dude.
343i has been gaslighting the entire community since Halo 4. When you do that to your fans for over a decade you lose your fans.
The sad fact is, that its work Companies are here to make money and satisfy shareholder If you can make a game thats worse in every aspect than a xbox 360 game, but sell color in it for 20$ they WILL do it Cause it works
yep gaming is dead
halo limited
@@kaylemjoseph8727 I mean I understand why people say that but I'd argue that right now we are getting some heaters
If I remember right the multiplayer when it dropped before the campaign was marketed as a "beta" and when the campaign launched a few weeks later and *nothing* in the multiplayer changed that's when the ball began to drop for a lot of people.
Dam broke my heart
I never played Halo before, today's I started playing Halo CE Masterchief collection, it's so much fun, can't believe they made it in 2001, that's a remarkable achievement. I'm so excited play all Halo games.
Long range hitscan emp is PSYCHOTIC
Rip halo
Extreme-G racing games, mixed together with Mass Effect RPG... that would be my dream game
had to look up extreme g that sounds interesting def a combo i would NOT know to to manage
Single player gaming better than ever tho
As a gamer that never really got into playing online. I have never been happier to not relate at all to a video.
Good job for all the idiots who dropped money on this 🗑 serves you idiots right
16:07 the four turds of the apocalypse
And you just described what ruined Halo. Wanton violent freeforall
I still play Halo Infinite multi-player. ❤ Not excited for much of the "new stuff".. My #1 demand is 8v8 Ranked.. Social Playlist modes are 100% pointless and hurt player retention. - in H2 we had 8v8 Ranked.. Some real FPS players want a quality game mode to grind. Ranked 4v4 is great, but we also need 8v8. Seriously
@@KaineTremaine I personally think this is a moment where you are projecting your experience on to the player imho. The statement that social modes are pointless just isn't true maybe for you and people around you but most of my friends and a HUGE part of the halo community is social so much so that some player hate comp/ranked. There can be both the answer isn't to eliminate one
@LCVcultGaming you can't possibly tell me the current Infinite 8v8 "social" is better than H2 8v8 Ranked. Not saying it's gotta be HCS level, the H2 8v8 had radar for example.. The current Infinite 8v8 is 100% pointless. People AFK/quit out. Kills Halo player retention. Game to game, you have no idea if your teammates or opponents will be good/awful. ☝🏽 These are massive steps back in FPS gaming.. Your friends list can still be served w Forge/custom and 12v12 "social" Real FPS players need a Playlist to grind thru. Ranked 4v4 is nice, but gets monotonous. Halo could easily have the best 8v8 experience in FPS gaming, if only they gave a little effort. Doesn't have to be "strict HCS rules" but Micro needs to at least give us something closer to H2 8v8 Ranked.
@KaineTremaine I feel you're missing my point, I'm not saying don't have that. If there is a market and an audience sure make it. However I don't see how social 8v8 is bad. When it launched and refresh we saw significant spikes in players retention issues in my experience is also the opposite of what you're saying not everyone wants to sweat all the time. This issue of people leaving also stems from incorporating ranked matchmaking models into a social playlist. The type of playlist isn't the issue it's the separation of social and competitive experiences why can't we have a balance? Squad battle was loved when it launched (obviously the player base fell off but it was due to no updates and lack of support for the game as a whole) either way comp/ranked should not be the biggest component in Halo as many players don't like that element of it, but I do still think it's important to pay attention to it. I see what you're saying about 8v8 ranked because that's not a common thing and would make it stand out. However I don't believe an 8v8 ranked mode is bringing in new players.
@LCVcultGaming The current Halo Infinite 8v8 squad battle is my favorite game mode.. but I stopped playing it and it's a dying game mode. Why? bc it's under a "social framework" and destined to kill player retention. Real FPS players cannot grind a "social Playlist" Halo has bled players since H3. I think it's bc of the "social Playlist" .. Real FPS players don't want a Gravity Hammer camping, so H3 got dropped in favor of CoD by millions.. same thing happened to Halo Infinite. They (Microsoft) didn't take the Playlist seriously, and real FPS players left.
gaming today seems to want you isolated, and they want you to buy stuff to feel better. remember the old days with your friends on split screen or the online lobbies. they don't want that, because you're having fun not spending $$ to get a little high
that summer it came out, {australian summer} was such a breath of fresh air my brother and i finally had something to play. we smashed it for weeks, but then it just died. and nobody has gone back
@@daniel-it2lw yeah really sad, feel like this was the experience for a lot of people
I quit after about 30 days
I got into gaming again i havent played much since i was a kid. Found the new halo game, and saw some super rad tiger stripe armor. They wanted 10 bucks which is kind of ridiculous but hey its halo ill support them. Turns out i paid 10 dollars for the potential to unlock it later dosn the road. But i HAVE to unlock it by playing against these guys who are absolutely insanely skilled. I really feel screwed over about that. Huge let down. I paid all the money in full up front i just want what i paid for
It's literally the best Halo game ever, People crying about it still is nuts. It didn't make the money it was supposed to so they don't dump resources into it, what's so hard to understand about that, honestly.
You're saying it's the best ever and in the very next sentence you're saying it didn't sell well, and hasn't had the work put into it that it needs. Which one is it?
What got me off of Halo Infinite was the screwed up ranked multiplayer. If you were being a team player and got the win, if you ended up going negative then you lost rank points… At least in Halo 5, I could have my friends who weren’t that great keep playing and not lose rank just because they didn’t have a positive K/D ratio.
13:58 “Invite only” this game should die. Making a game an exclusive club should never be successful.
@@RvB_Fan_since_8 you just have to invite a friend and they get it, it's not like an exclusive thing. They want people to test it. It's in alpha
My ass thought Tetris and god of war for those 2 games you mentioned and i genuinely have no clue how that could work
i mean you could do an absolutely unforgiving GoW and make it spiritually tetris where the decisions you make in a branching story fit together lets tetris pieces to either get you to the end your end it early and start you over lol i dont think thats for that audience or enjoyable tho
What was HaloDan12 original gamertag? cause back in the day i used to play with some guy from the UK and his gamertag was HaloDan123 i wonder if its the same guy (he was an absolute halo and rayman / bubble bobble fan)
@@FreeboEZ he ain't him lol and he did not like the UK part of that lmfao "I can't be handling such things" and then he started saying he's gonna find the real HaloDan123 and give him shit lol nah but it's not Dan fr lol
0:23 MY EARS ARE BLEEDING
im sorry lmao
Hear me out, a tactical shooter that takes place in the Human-Covenant war, no Spartans, just regular soldiers. I’m thinking of gameplay sort of like Battlefront 2.
sounds interesting honestly would it be T vc CT with weapon pools? Covie Weapons and UNSC Weapons ?
@ yes
2:02 Console generations literally are not moving faster, its still the same its ever been. 7 years~. Dev cycles are 5x longer than theyve ever been. Its insane to see the monolithic blinders people put on to not criticize developer issues. Saying things so observably untrue and going as far as to just make stuff up like the console generations shrinking, when they never did. A big issue I fight against is the blame game. People still dont want to lay the blame at the studios and developers, Or even the real problem, consumers. but its gotten so insane that were gaslighting and just making stuff up now. Yes, studios and suits have bad influences on the development processes. But those influences usually result in very observable and blatant issues in the final game that can be addressed. But those studios and execs have always been greedy, they've always cut corners and rushed development. They havent changed and they've always been there. The studios have had the biggest change, and the demographic of consumers have also shifted, artificially even.
but when things like ps5 launch with running stuff at 30 and then 4 years later come out with the ps5 pro for hundreds of dollars for 60fps as the pitch its too much to expect the consumer to do imo but i get what youre saying and i guess the timeline is still similar but the main point is that not many games come out for a given generation maybe my wording could have been better
Ya know. I was always hoping that this game would get fixed and i stepped completely away and let time pass. After hearing whats been added i think its time to step back in. I normally play campaign then play multiplayer but id gotten so tired of what barebones there was at launch that i just stepped away. Id gotten tired of 343 and was just frustrated with halo (while halo 4-infinite werent bad games) not feeling like halo. Infinite was better but they just kept delaying everything. It was awful. But i think ill give it another try.
Great video! Wany to hear more about your gun ideas for you game
havent thought about specifics for guns, definitely want a variety that allows balanced but giving the ability to do dumb fun stuff too. although there MUST be some kind of rail gun ... that's just a given
I am having a lot of fun with custom games in Infinite, Mods for MCC and Halo Custom Edition also still fun, even after 20 years. Yeah - greed, the competitive bullshit and story makers like Frank O'Conner ruined Halo 4 & 5 and made us wait 2+ years after release to finally get the good part of Infinite. Compared to the other big names, look at CoD - all the older CoD's on PC are an insane security risk worse than a virus, while the newer parts are focused on macro transactions. All the older BF's are dead apart some small fan made stuff that has barely any players, and the newer ones are simply worse versions of the older ones or got turned into Hero shooter trash with macro transactions. At least we can still play Halo Custom Edition with an active player base and now got mods options for Halo 3, ODST and so on. Even Infinite finally got the leftovers from the original party game that Halo always was. Yes, Infinite it got macro transactions too, but let be honest - who cares about your look in Halo or the colours, you simply never buy any or buy your favourite colour ones, put it on everything and never look at the shop again. And I am so glad that the battle pass is worthless in that game, cause the only games that are better than a game with a worthless battle pass are games without a battle pass.
You should try out GTFO if you want a survival shooter experience
This is what we get for expecting anything good out of Microsoft. Damn them all, down to the last.
