Some llamas are very nervous of ropes and halters. If you have difficulty in getting your llama to stand when you approach with a catch rope then it can sometimes be a better idea to loop the catch round around her using the wand with clip . Just as we were about to break for lunch and were admiring the crias in the nursery paddock we noticed that Sadie was in the second stage of labour ! The human audience was delighted to witness the new arrival but the four legged mob were even keener to get their first look at her !

Its great to have so many lovely caring aunties but what this little man really wants is a few playmates of his own age ! Being the first born isnt all its cracked up to be but hopefully he won`t have too much longer to wait before he`s spoilt for choice when all the other Watertown crias start arriving very soon !
