Andrew Lyons is a Mesoscale-Assistant/Fire-Weather Forecaster at the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK. A lifelong severe weather and aviation enthusiast, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a B.S. in Meteorology. He began his career at the National Weather Service through NOAA’s Pathways program and interned in Grand Junction, Colorado. From there, Andrew moved to the Cheyenne, Wyoming office, and earned his Master's Degree in Hydrometeorology while working full-time before taking the position at the SPC in 2020. Andrew will be sharing his knowledge and expertise in forecasting and so much more!
