@@RingerCams good to hear! Must be a good stand! I just got a new bubba prowler in the mail yesterday. Kinda wish i would have gotten the super sport now after watching your video. I like how you can use it as a sit to climb and a gun rest.
@@AllanWeder-vu3ji I would reach out and see if he would let you make a swap. You might be surprised. He’s an outstanding owner and businessman. Especially if you haven’t really unboxed it or scratched it in anyway.
@@RingerCams i thought about doing that or seeing if he would sell just the top section because the bottom is the same. I took it out of the box. Haven’t even put it together yet
I have not experienced any difficulties in fact less than that of a summit. At least with the CC it is never detached. When you remove one pin, the other remains in place. Whereas the summit you have to ensure that one of the locking nuts comes out of the channel and depending on the pressure on the stand or climber at that time has the potential to slip out. Same with noise, I find my summit to be louder. Lucky there are plenty of stands for folks to choose from these days as we all have our preferences.
I’ve had an cougar claw stand for about 20 years and it’s a great stand! Never a problem with slipping and very solid. When I wanted new cables I called and talked to the owner not voice message. The replacement cables arrived quickly. Very pleased with product and service.
The adjustments on the cougar stand looks cool but watching how long it took to pack it up with all the stands, really makes me realize how simple my Ol' man cts grand is. I basically just put the platform inside the seat and stretch a bungee across and I'm done. No buckles, straps or anything else to fool with
A little quieter than my summit. It doesn’t make any unnecessary sound. I’ve seen the other YT review where the user said it creaked…I’ve had this out in single digit temps with below zero wind chills and it never made an unnecessary/unusual sound
Great review and very thorough. The stand seems great but not being able to use the Hazmore is a deal killer for me. I know there are other seat options but the Hazmore on my Summit works the best, I also have the Hazmore cushion. I like the metal buckles on the Thirdhand straps but I like the idea of the plastic buckle, which are probably good enough, is something I might do instead of always stringing the strap through the metal buckle all of the time.
Hey Chuck. I had two stabilizer straps made by a local leather shoe repair shop using 2” heavy duty IWT plastic buckles. They worked great until they broke. When you reach your hunting height and cinch them down tight, they lasted exactly 12 hunts before they broke from stress. I bought 1” metal buckles off amazon and 1” OD green smooth nylon webbing and they work great. Just my $0.02. Stay with the metal buckles.
Nice video , can you explain the clipping of the carabiners onto the harness. Dies it stay in place or does it shift as you climb the steps thanks , I use mine strictly as safety harness but plan on being more mobile with hang on stands and steps
Ralph C - It works very well, I’ve written several pieces about this on The various archery talk forums. Since this time I have moved over to using O-Zone to clean my clothes, which works even better. Of course the smoke method is virtually free, whereas you need an ozone generator of some kind to use O-Zone. The reason I switched from the natural smoke to O-Zone is that O-Zone leaves all of your clothes odor free. This allows me to be able to hunt before work and not walk into the office smelling like a campfire. The same can be said for returning home after an evening hon, no matter what I wear as a base layer if I put clothes over top that have been treated with natural smoke I smell as though I’ve been sitting around the campfire.
@@RingerCams yea smelling like campfire is not my choice of smell at work either. It's so funny how hunters can be so fickle. One year swear by one thing and the next abandon what they swore by to move to the next thing they will claim to be what works for them..lol My experience with ozone is this, I tried Ozonics for a year . The first day it seemed to work . But everyday after that the deer associated the ozone smell with me. And I got snorted a lot!! So bad I returned it for a refund . They since changed their warranty from one year from date of purchase to same hunting season. Early season I did like to point it into my rubber boots to take the smell of my feet sweat out. Then I would let them air out to get the ozone smell out.lol Not sure if the ozone smell is a good thing ,but I know they can smell it..
Wild , never seen anything like that before. Last clip looked like the deer killed the bird.
A nut and a bolt and a large nylon washer, if I get a chance, I’ll take a close-up picture and send it
How did you attach the strap you sit on to climb with?
Are you still using the cougar claw over the summit?
Yes, it’s my primary climber

This tree stand is to hard to adjust in the dark and to noisey to adjust

Piękny filmik Pozdrawiam
Good vid…well done!
Where can one buy this stand? Have a link to website for these stands?
FYI - To properly thread the buckle: Thread it through both pieces normally, then double-back at the end.
I made a closed loop with 1/2 in amsteel instead of caribemer on front

Very good review! Answered my questions fixing to sell my hang on and purchase this stand. A lot less work

I want to see Bruce’s bow at work!
Glad I seen this before buying , it seemed like a rattle trap climbing ! It looks tricky to pack together !
Not at all, quieter than any summit I’ve used. Packing is only “tricky” if you plan to keep that big seat on it.
Nice hunt! Thanks for sharing.
👊
Also, what are the types of carabiners again? Thanks, I really like your set up and video!
Which Ropeman are you using? Could you share pictures of how you modified your lineman's belt?
Ropeman1….sure, I’ll post something later today or early this week!

@@user-eo1qq4xz8w I was afraid of that, it was a common complaint with LoneWolf stabilizer straps that used plastic buckles.
@@chuckbert3117 yes i broke those too. I thought going to a bigger buckle would eliminate the problem. It didn’t.

Glad it was helpful!
Guess I need a little more practice with both the cam and the editing...lol
It does not shift, I use mine to set steps, work in stands, trim lanes, etc...

Good idea! I made daisy chain amsteel for my helium sticks but I like this idea. Nice and simple!
Loved it! Wished it was 39 minutes instead of 39 seconds!
It's years later , how did it go?
