Saw the same thing happen during this summer (the rear axel), he also managed to get of the track b4 the bike forced him to do it in a much less pleasant way ^^ Awsome bike for the track btw, i have the k8 750. but thinking about getting a k6-k7 just to save some money and make a real fun track bike, but that's just plans for next season ^^ cheers!

0:22 didn't "need" to be that close, the line's a bit wider there, could have been a couple of feet to the left without messing up corner entry. However who cares, it's the fast group and you can all ride. Did somebody mention it to you later on then?

your comment on the silverstone bloke talking to the group like a group of kids is spot on. Really put a downer on the day right from the start! It's fair enough that they have to be strict, I've heard that the fines if they break the limits are pretty hefty, but we're all a group of adults, who have forked out some hard earnt cash, lets be treated with some respect please!

You will have a grin from ear to ear on Monday evening. Track riding is a whole different ball game to road riding. As long as you give people some room and respect then I dont think they bother where you overtake in reality. You will always find people slower than you, but then you will find some faster too. Don't be afraid to ask to change groups if you find the pace is not right. Take it steady, try and build up. I don't know why I give out advice like that, it is the opposite of what I do :)

Going here on Monday. Never done a track day but 8 years riding on the road and I sure don't ride slow. I've opted for the Novice group purely for the fact I've never done a track day - I hope it was the right choice lol, Don't want someone slow ruining my corners - Gutted your not allowed to overtake on the corners

Yeah, it is the arena GP circuit layout on Tuesday. Gonna book it tomorrow night, maybe i will go for fast group then. Cheers mate

It was an 08 R1. The one before the cross plane. This was the Arena GP circuit. I think they have 3 different circuit layouts at Silverstone so check which one you are doing. If you normally go in Fast then I would always go in fast. You will pick up the lines quicker. It is a really cool circuit, very fast and flowing.

Good riding fella....what model R1 have you got? cross plane crank version? hard to tell by the engine noise. I'm watching this vid as i'm trying to get an idea of the circuit layout as i'm thinking of booking trackday there next Tuesday. Not sure weather to go in fast or inters. Normally in fast group but thinking of maybe starting in inters to get used to track first.

Yeah it does a bit. I picked about the only two laps where I didn't have traffic. Haven't got the R1 anymore. This was on a K6 GSXR 1000. I am selling it soon to get a smaller bike. I can't ride 1000's very well with my spindly little arms. Know anyone that wants one?? One careful owner.

Great vid - looked like serious fun.....

They have sensors around the circuit that monitor noise as you ride around. If you are too loud they get a photo in the race control of the culprit and black flag you. I remember the bloke from silver stone circuit addressing the whole group like kids saying if you go out and know you are too loud then it is your fault if you get thrown off. My thinking is, if they tested my bike before I go out on track I would know if it is too loud and could avoid getting thrown off in the first place.

There next friday n exhaust is really loud.. Amazing riding btw..
