Just stumbled on to your video. I'm 65. I grew up in Beltzhoover! Grandview park was my teen party hangout spot! I moved to Kentucky in 1981. Still have a sister who lives in Brentwood. Great video, it is easy to fall in love with Pittsburgh. As a California native still living in Ca, there is a special charm about Pittsburgh that is hard to get elsewhere with that price. Also sunbelt is overrated with hot summers and insurance cost.Always pros and cons.

I early-retired a few years ago from UPMC, moved south for a spell, missed the 'burgh, moved back. If I ever decide to buy, I know who to call. PS. Enjoyed the Lawrenceville tour! 😊

Pittsburgh has 90 neighborhoods and Mt. Lebanon is NOT one of them. They have their own school district, own emergency services, own Mayor and they do not pay taxes to the City of Pittsburgh. Really sick of these communities claiming to be a part of Pittsburgh when it suits them.

Moved back here after nearly 20 years in Clairton/Jefferson area. I did not appreciate just how nice of a neighborhood it is until buying a home here and living here as an adult.

I realize this is 6 months old, but wow I loved this listing. This house was Immaculate! Not currently looking (I live on the Northside) but I really enjoy your videos. 😊👍

I lived in Pittsburgh for 10 years before moving to Columbus Ohio. Pittsburgh had a lot to offer and I still miss it a little bit. I worked for Dollar Bank right on Smithfield Street downtown. So I knew the downtown area really well.

Moved here to Mt Lebanon! Lived in many neighborhoods in Pittsburgh and by far Mt lebo is the best. Great people, restaurants, schools etc. Trust me I’ve lived everyone in Pgh and THIS the best. And a very SAFE area. Never had any trouble here. Lived here for 8 years!! ❤Love it!!🥰

Great place if you like technical single track dirt bike trails. The air is clean, but we don't make anything anymore. Lame retail and service industry jobs abound.

I have no prejudice against the older architecture, gray weather etc., and aesthetically the forests, hills, and rivers can't be beat. The older style of buildings and infrastructure is actually quite charming. I also love the low cost of living and understand that means a lot of the people around you are naturally going to be from a working class background. But what has really started to get to me is the rude attitudes. Having traveled widely, I’m familiar with many variations on a matter-of-fact working class attitude - the vibe in Pittsburgh goes way past that, to what can only be called backwardness. There is a whole group of people whose families never taught them basic civility. It is by no means restricted to the disadvantaged - in fact, a little bit of authority often makes it worse - so if you move here, brace yourself for everyone from school officials to hipster baristas to randomly act like they have a major personal problem with you for no apparent reason. At a certain point I realized I don’t want to grow old in an environment where people constantly sour routine interactions with seething resentment over nothing. Jumping that gap from the low cost of living/property value between here and elsewhere in order to get established in a more civilized region is now the major goal of the second half of my life.

I've been living in Brookline since 1997 on Bayridge (you turned off at Stebbins before you got to my house). Nice video. I would have liked to seen some views or mentions of Moore Park and the Rec Center, two very nice parks and great places for kids.

Pittsburgh is awesome I live I drive buses here and I must say that I live 15 mins away near Kennywood park. It’s basically the same all over the world it’s what you make it but thanks for sharing

I used to live on Greenhurst 1 block up from Main Park which is such a nice park where my kids used to play when they were small. I was hoping you'd turn up Greenhurst from the park so I could see the old house. It was good to see Scoops on Beverly is still going strong.

Pittsburgh looks amazing on a postcard from above looking down on the skyline and the three rivers, but living there is a different story. It’s a very weather beaten place that I feel was neglected. It does seem it’s on the up though and there has been more investment in the city. Houses are old though and come with constant problems, and the sewerage system is so old and bad. You do feel really isolated here as it’s not close to anything and comes with problems if you want to travel somewhere. It’s a vey unique city compared to most though with the bridges, and landscape, and you will easily see some wildlife that makes you question if you live in a city. Also last thing people love there sports team and will wear a Steelers, penguins, or pirates top for any occasion, it’s pretty much the fashion here.

I love a good affordable breakfast at Bob's diner in Carnegie when we come to visit Pittsburgh.

I disagree with you about our water bills. Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority's rates are obscene because of the ancient infrastructure, and our rates keep rising. Still, in general, I love Pittsburgh.
