Ok so much to say… Jesus was a carpenter by trade, but his purpose for coming down to earth was not carpentry. It was far from it. He was later nailed to a cross for His ultimate purpose, something that only One could ever do. Our purpose and identity is not what we do for a career. We are called to live a simple life, to work with our hands in devotion to God. A fruitful life is fed by the river, connected to the vine. No tree bears the same fruit, and don’t we relish in their difference? The world likes to fool us into the clout rather than the creating. The glory father than the giving. The follows rather than the Father. We are called to live set apart. Let them profess to be wise, for we know ultimately they will be proven as fools.

This is the first podcast I have listened to and you have chances my perspective on fasting… I feel like I am in such a better state to enter a fast than I was before

Fasting is so powerful!

I could have listened to y'all talk for hours on this one. The best episode yet, no offense to the banter. Doug's prayer when you're hungry is such a good reminder when I start to overthink or see God as a formula during this fast in grounding myself in His name and power and why I'm doing this. Also, y'all need to write a book with the stories and experiences for your time traveling - absolutely incredible of sitting in God's power like that. My cup is full after this one!

As someone who has suffered from multiple eating disorders, I used to be scared to do a fast with food. Then, I took the extreme with it and completely destroyed myself. But then, I chose to approach it with a heart for Jesus and surrendering the burden for God instead of letting the contorted thoughts of personal gain lead the way, it changed my life tremendously. I was able to not only heal my eating disorder, but actually experience the benefits of closeness to God in the fasting. 🙏

Well, I think I found my NEW favorite episode. This is packed full of so many nuggets, that I'm going to have to re-watch it a few times. Thank you for this fantastic discussion. Everyone should see it! Come on, Church! Let's go! 🔥🙌🏻💃🏻
